I thought reality was for people that could not handle drugs.

I have heard of the other stuff Thom, but the furry thing was new to me. Brony is a new one too, here is to hoping it is not as bad as the 2 girls thing. Dudes that like my little pony, is that a pedophile thing?

Does the daughter Katlynn have any mental issues? Shame the parents didn't (or couldn't) help her with some orthodontia work. I'm more troubled by that than the alleged murder.

So...when are we gonna get back to talking about a family that was gunned down for no reason, instead of climbing all over our Ivory Towers to make fun of someone who has a different hobby that we do?

In a world where boys show up to middle school dressed as girls I am not shocked by people wearing silly costumes on their own time.

Grumpy old man rant on:
When I was in middle school all the boys wore Levi's and Ked's trying to fit in.
Grumpy old man rant off

Oh yes, our collective virtue signaling is slipping. --gasp.

Well, I just want everyone to know that I am anti-murder.

Better?

Unfortunately there is no description as to why they were gunned down. No disrespect to the victims but if they were not "furries" this never would have made the news.

I have some very well educated intelligent co-workers that go to comic con every year. Matter of fact it has gotten so popular tickets are getting very difficult to find.

I can't speak to the furries phenomenon, but on the level of all the bad going on in the world dressing up as animals seems pretty harmless.

Very good list, I'd not heard of two of those. I'd add goatse to the list. Oops, Cashflyer beat me to it.

I think the 25yo boyfriend of the 17yo daughter got the boot by the responsible furry parents.
Jilted ex-lover thing..
He came back with a couple friends in tow for the revenge massacre.

Sad story, but common and hardly newsworthy.

I have heard that there people that dress up like Klingons and even learn the made up language, and have marriage ceremonies in Klingon.

I guess a big guy dressed like a Klingon with the big knives might not get picked on as much as someone dressed up as a furry & cute critter.

There's a local group that used to walk in our July 4th parade every year (decades now) dressed as Klingons. They get a huge applause. Sadley the number in the group has dwindled over the last couple of years. This past year, the first I remember with no Klingons. Felt sad actually. They must have not had enough people willing to do it. Either that or the Romulans got em.

Nah, they are just SNAGS who like cartoons. Seems like they were into the beards and plaid shirts before the hipsters.

Pretty sure they were assimilated by the Borg.

We had a Star Wars thing here at work, mind boggling the number of people and dedication of those followers.
Full on costumes and props of every SW character, they took it pretty seriously.
