Holy COW! Harry's having an Old Style right about now.

Correction, 6 Old Styles! Only needed the defibrillator four times in the last two days, LOL!

I'll be, the Cubs looking lackadaisic and behind in the 9th but get it done! Impressive. Thats all I'm sayin', no jinx.

I was shocked to see Matt Moore in the dugout in the top of the 9th. What was Boch thinking? Oh well, bring on the Warriors.

Surprised me as well. He shut them down. Id have left him in to at least to start the ninth. That has a huge psych effect. Giants played some good ball.

As soon as I walked outside this morning, I could feel this weird tug on my clothes, and then I realized it was the bullpen still sucking..

Funny.

I couldn't stay up but recorded it and watched the last few innings without knowing the ending early this morning.

When they got to the Giants bullpen I could hear the music from Jaws...and not in a good way

Harry never drank Old Style! He drank Budweiser because they paid him to, and before that he drank Falstaff...

I suppose last night's Giants bullpen 'el foldo' more or less defines what it is to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory". I think Charlie's got it - Bochy pulling Moore with only 3 outs to go was the big mistake. Of course that being said, I amongst others am blessed with 20/20 hindsight & knows all about baseball. The game certainly had its moments ... well .... that's baseball forya! It's all good.

Cheers
JB

Bochy is now 10-1 in elimination games. Sadly, all anyone will remember is the 1 and how he earned it.

GREAT to see the Cubs advance.

It is great to see the Cubs advance, clearly the better team.
Why go to the bull pen, when that is your weakest link?
But...
I didn't see Bochy toe the rubber or take an at bat last night..
Lots of holes to address this off season.

I remember how his voice sounded half slurred saying "Budweiser" and never knew about his love of Falstaff. Wouldn't surprise me tipping a few OS though. Well, whatever he was drinking then and drinking now, I think we can agree on the number 6.

He'd still be a alive if he was drinking Old Style! It give you wings! It's got what plants crave! Yadda yadda yadda...

Last trip back to Chitown, I didn't find a single bar that carried Old style, it's gone out of fashion. The only Old Style I had that entire trip was the last night, in the bleachers at the Friendly Confines.

I think I'll root for the Dodgers

That was fun watching history being made last night.

The look on Kershaw's face as he went to the pen to warmup was priceless. He wasn't about to let the other team win if he had any say in it.
I've rooted for the Giants this season, mainly because of the TV coverage of the Dodgers being what it was with Time/Warner Cable. Since they lost I've been rooting for the Dodgers, but, we all know that in our hearts we're pulling for the long suffering Cubs fans to have their day in the sun.

Except for 2010, 2012, and 2104?
