To keep my H4s intact on rocky race tracks.....how is the best way to keep them from falling off?

Pull out the headlights, set a couple sheetmetal screws, a little epoxy, take out seats and interior, install fuel cell, fire system, full roll cage, data acquisition, Recaro Hans Pole Positions, 5-point harnesses, Hoosier R6's, some vinyl numbers, race shop windscreen shade banner, CoolSuit kit. That should keep them secured while you're on the track.

duct tape is great for this sort of thing. Also know as 100mph tape for good reason.

Yup, I'm pretty sure blue 3M painter's tape is a staple in every track-rat's gear bag (for those that track their street cars/bikes). It's not uncommon to see complete painter's tape "bras" over the entire front end and mirrors, to mitigate stone-chips.
When removing, it won't leave any residue or take the clear-coat along with it. If you want to look less ghetto-fied, I suppose you could try some double-sided foam tape on the lens itself, if there is minimal clearance between the lens and the inside of the cover.

However, I think that taping them on (eliminating the seam/gap) is the way to go. That would likely be the best option to minimize/eliminate any wind buffeting, which might cause the cover to scratch/rub the headlight bezel. Whatever the case, it's probably a good idea to make sure the surfaces are clean and wax-free beforehand.

There was a guy in a Ferrari at a driver's school years ago. He must have used 15 rolls of blue painter's tape on the front his car.

Common sight at any PCA or Speedventures track day.

Hey Joe,

Here's a NBD idea.

I replaced my headlamps with alum sheet for the same reason.

I found some headlamp graphics which look OK buuuut I would really like a 911 headlamp graphic. Waddya think??
