Damn - so sorry to hear this.

I tried to reach out to him - both here and the last time I saw him at Car & Coffee Irvine - to tell him there were plenty of us who loved to see his cars and posts. I will have to look up when I went as I shot some photos of his Gulwing then.

I will say he looked neither happy or healthy that day.

RIP 126.

I met him at Willow springs several years back. Nice enough guy, but just reminded me of every other inherited wealth person I've met in my life. Although I thought some of his posts were ridiculous (namely the Ferrari spat we had) I still feel sad about his passing. RIP.

If you haven't felt the sting of a PPOT pimp hand....then you don't post much imo. Doesn't sting at all fwiw...:). Yep....126 enjoyed showing off his assets here....no biggie imo. We don't REALLY know each guys...and posts don't paint our real world very accurately...

RIP Mark...

I always enjoyed his posts and never took anything he said in an offensive way. You could tell he really loved his wife (including her looks :) )

I always enjoyed his posts. Sometimes funny; sometimes factual. He certainly wasn't one of the humorless morons that lurk on the internet.

He was very kind to chat me up about the cars he had there.

daepp 12-30-2016 12:43 PM

They were very gracious with their cars and with their time that day - especially considering how many people were climbing all over their cars!

Very sad to hear of his passing. In 2012 I took my son to Irvine to see the USS Iowa and also Cars and Coffee.

Met Mark and hung out for a while. He was very gracious about his car and started it up for us. Great sounding machine.

Mark was very soft-spoken and seemed at ease. It appears the demons have claimed another.
Godspeed, Mr Minkoff, may you Rest in Peace.

I just realized he started the chest thread... wow RIP 126

Post in the Sex and Marriage Thread 3 months before he passed:

Married 36 years, she is 59, I'm 57.
2-3 times per week,
BJ's too
She likes toys
She is hornier than ever.
I use Viagra to keep up

Bummer. Tough news regardless of the circumstances. Stay well Pelicans. Thanks to Motion for the heads-up.

Nice pics!

I went back last night and dusted off that old Ferrari thread that was 11 pages long, sadly there was unnecessary hostility, I had checked out of it after it started going downhill.

I met him a few times at shows around the county, he and his wife were always pleasant and always like to talk about the cars. Especially his dads 300 SL. RIP.

fintstone 12-31-2016 02:46 PM

Thought he was much older from his photos. Beautiful cars...and don't feel bad about giving him a tease when he posted...he was clearly trolling a bit...and enjoying the stir he caused. He was a lucky man in many ways...and apparently lived a good life. RIP.

"Normy" brought a lot of that on himself. He was "outed" by Sniper (Bill) & what followed wasn't nice but he could of handled that better.

Possibly. As I recall, the treatment N! received for something completely irrelevant to the board was still shameful. Sniper had issues that he loved to put on parade for any attention it received. It was colorful but often bizarre.

Whatever. To each their own.

Don't care what anybody says, but a grown man in his 40's chasing teenagers has some issues.

I don't have any recollection of that but could have easily missed it.

I was there that day and saw that car, didn't realize whose it was.
