i saw the movie this holiday and i loved it.

but i have a question.. SPOILER!!

you know in the StarWars. when they demonstrate the DeathStar to Leia? the tyrant said something to Leia like (paraphrasing here) "now prepare to witness our fully operational deathStar..beatch" she was surprised the thing was up and running. IIRC, i think they vaporized her home planet.

this new episode: she was there!! she should have known it was fully functional..no?

On the tropical island planet they didn't blow up the whole planet using the Death Star... right? they just destroyed the base and the surrounding area. In A New Hope they blow up the entire planet of Alderaan, demonstrating the full power.

Watched the movie tonight. I think the original Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. A bit weird (in a nostalgic way) to see the CGI characters like Princess Leia, Mon Mothma, and Grand Moff Tarkin not age.

Mon Mothma wasn't CGI in the new film... was played by actress Genevieve O'Reilly. same actress who played her in Revenge of the Sith.

She just looks very, very similar to the original actress.
