Shave yo' bizeard.

Since the Obama adm. is splits ville, 1962 revisited could be over now.;):D So its safe to say you can shave or trim your beard to acceptable levels. We get it, the Carl Marx, Che, Smith brothers look fit the last 8 years, but its time to move on.;):D I recall a baseball game a while back with people holding up banners saying respect the beard. Remember respect is earned.;) The last 8 years it would have been cool, now its embarrassing , Lol. Trim the beard any way you want. The unshaven George Michael look always was cool. The Sean Connery Raiders of the lost ark Indy's dad beard also looked cool. So Shave yo' Bizeard or trizim it, Cause' ya looking kinda funky bro!;):DLOL!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489757581.jpg

Well, that came out of nowhere.
I haven't shaved my chin in 50 years and I'm not going to start now. Fashion and politics have nothing to do with it. My goatee is as much a part of me as my eyeballs and it ain't going anywhere without them.

GH85Carrera 03-17-2017 07:32 AM

My nephew is 28 and grew a fuzzy beard like many of his buddies. He does a lot of outdoor activities and Kayaking is his biggest hobby. They go out camping to be close to a good river and for the tournaments. He said many of his other 20 something friends are full lumberjack mode for the "look" but are hopeless at camping. One night several groups were trying to start fires and kept squirting lighter fluid and had a pitiful little fire going. He started at the same time and had hot coals to start cooking with and did not use any lighter fluid or flammable liquid. My brother is a bit time camper and my nephew grew up camping. And he can even change a tire and work on cars. He is a pretty good kid, er man.

He did trim his beard to go for the stubble look now.

RKDinOKC 03-17-2017 08:45 AM

Until the safety razor ie 1950's more men had beards than didn't.

Fast Freddy 944 03-17-2017 09:16 AM

:DShave yo beard! LOL!:D It didn't come out of no where, Peeps are a talkin' and you should be a shavin! LOL Git er done!:Dhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489767292.pngShaven men, chicks dig it!;):D

I have seen much stranger posts in OT and agree with Freddy that the lumberjack hipster look is overplayed--speaking of which, I enjoy your posts Freddy--(and you have a white 951--which I did as well), but you don't have to punctuate each one with a pic of Larry the Cable Guy, Jethro, Jed, Mr.T, Hank Hill, the Hee-Haw cornfield sketch guys, etc. they can stand on their own merit.:)

Thanks Eric, I'm hipster burnt out. I have been using the little picts, for 16 years, its part of my routine, the last site I was on I had them rolling the isle. I was rooting for the Steelers to win, man o' man, the game ended not the way I wanted, oh well there is always next year.:D:cool:

How many times are you going to post the same pictures on threads? Seriously.

Noah930 03-17-2017 12:32 PM

Well, I'm OK with him posting the picture of Candice Swanepoel.

Metrosexual "lumberjack" types wouldn't know a real logger if he walked up and pissed on their legs. By the way, when real loggers want to start a fire, they pile up sticks, toss on a cup of saw gas, and toss a match.

Me too. That's not the issue. Post whatever pics you want, once, twice, who cares? Day after day the same images? Why?

vbaron 03-17-2017 05:41 PM

40 years with a beard (wife has never seen me without one), I think I'll keep mine. Of course if you are hung up on baby faces, there's this:

A couple years ago. About the most bearded I get. Coincided with a little woodcutting, so I thought I should take a selfie to catch up with the trendy look. JOKING.

I was going to put all my posts today in green to celebrate St. Paddy's Day but I didn't think any of you guys would take me seriously.

RKDinOKC 03-17-2017 07:21 PM

I have had a beard longer than there have been web developers or hipsters for that matter.

That's cool, this article is about the ugly hipster look, non macho whiner types. You folks are regular good guys. Me and my bros saw some full lumber jack bearded dudes at a star bucks talking on their hand helds, and it cracked us up.

I don't have a problem with beards - it's the beard and man bun combo together that looks a little goofy.

I look at em, I just don't think about it so much. Are you old enough to remember Sears avocado kitchens and 80s ''hair Bands''. If you lived through that, you can probably overlook anything.

No, if that is a movie or tv show, I tend to not watch much of either. Watching MST3K episodes is about 1/2 the extent of my movie/TV knowledge.

Mst3k, LOVE IT!, amish mafia was a discovery or history channel, showing a live action mini series about the antics of Penn amish, Not sure if it was real, but I loved it, and the majority of lads were shaven, but there were a few bearded fellers.;):D

I'm already seeing the next fad, it's to shave one part/side of the head, but not the rest.

You'll like the beards better I think.:(

grendiers 03-20-2017 08:14 PM

Geesus, what a dumb post.

'That's cool, this article is about the ugly hipster look, non macho whiner types.'

Typical from him, a guy with a 951 that he knows nothing about. Many forums have been reduced to stupidity, this guy is proof. The number of posts determines the level, you guys know who you are. And the rest of us know what you are.
