Edit: My other favorite pickers vary pretty widely. Guys like Slash, Page, Hendrix from my younger days when I thought only a hard rocker could be cool lol. Now it's grown to include guys such as Mark Knopfler, who has taught me so much by dissecting his leads and solo's, how important phrasing is in making up tasty lead parts. Most all of the others in this thread I could mention as well. Also James Burton, old Clapton, Jerry Garcia, etc.

You call them by their first name when you have them over for breakfast, eh?
