Peter, you made my day. Returned from a long week of travel to find this waiting for me. I intend to sneak out for a test ride later today.

Sort of...I have a set of stock pegs too. These were modified to provide a bit more leg room without affecting ground clearance in spirited curves.

Just ordered new brake clutch reservoir bladders...2 weeks from Italy.

900 ss cr is a good scoot. lacks the sp fork but that may not be important to you.

for just a bit more money you could buy my 916. a bit more than that you could buy my 748 sp. a bit more than that and you get my 888. please buy one of my bikes

Added a bit of bling yesterday by bringing that dry clutch out in the daylight. Bunch of maintenance done (clutch, brake flush, oil, fuel filter, etc) and installed a full spaghetti system with CF cans. Have never owned a bike that is this much fun to ride.

They're not speed demons, there is just something about the way the bike makes power, and the sound......love it. Rode mine last Sunday. Glad I had my helmet on, because half the time I have this big dopey grin on my face.

Now, that's funny! Haven't quite had that experience but I'm sure it's just a matter of time .

I honestly don't know who made the exhaust. It came with the bike in a separate box with essentially no labeling (hanger brackets say Force-G on them) on the headers or the CF mufflers. The header pipes are slightly larger in diameter than the stock system and there's less restriction where the pipes come together... and the airbox is opened (no snorkels).

It was running rich with the stock setup and choppy at low rpm's. I ran some Seafoam through it, changed the plugs and installed the spaghetti system at the same time. I suspect this is what the carbs were jetted for. No more black plugs and it goes like stink. Still a bit choppy at lower rpm's but much better than it was. I suspect some of that is the nature of the beast.

As stated above, the way it makes power is just intoxicating. My Triumph Bonnie was a 900 also, but a complete bore to ride by comparison. This bike is torquey as heck and a riot to ride. Brakes are like the hand of God himself. Love love love this bike!

not sure that is a full spag system. I have a full termi spag on my 888...it is quite a bundle of snakes for a twin.

looks like a giacomoto exhaust which is quite nice nonetheless.

^I don't think there was a Spaghetti exhaust available for the 900ss...it was for desmoquattro bikes only. GioCaMoto cans had the end caps riveted on like in Choco's photo, so it could be, but the ones I had used a slightly differ turn down tip that what is pictured there.

So you're selling all yer stuff Pete? That 888 an SPO or is it a more special variant?

hey Jacob. hope you are well. I am starting to sell some bikes as I have not raced in years and not finding time to ride much anymore. my 916 is on ebay now. the 748 rs is a full race bike w/ jeff nash engine...that goes on ebay next. the 888 is an spo w/ virtually all corse bits from front to back. it is in the wrapper new. it may be hard to part with as it is the quintessential superbike imho. making room for a vantage v-12 6sp.

Agree Pete...the PO called it a spaghetti system but may not be. Appreciate the lead on what it actually is though (Jacob too). Will do some Google time and try to narrow it down.

How about posting some pics of your Ducs so we can drool over them before they sell?

the giacomotos are actually exceptional bits. in truth, the quality and finish is superior to the termignoni slip ons the 900 ss w/ a nice set of pipes sounds better than a pro-stock drag car!!!
