Curt you didnt take off the body and paint the pan?
I painted 3 VW pans, how ambitious. lol
so much VW content, had 30+ VWs sold my last back in 2000.
My 2nd VW at Orange County International raceway 1975.

So who's the young kid in the pics Mike? Must be your nephew or something?

Re: Paint on my Sports Bug. I removed what was easy to take off in my driveway. Masked off everything else. Drove it to Maaco with no tailights, headlights, bumpers, mirror, etc. and with all the masking tape in place. They painted it the next day (pretty sure I got the $125 "Deluxe" job ... ). I think I was on the road a couple of days later

Reminded me, same here, good results with a Baja Bug in gulf blue for $60 at One Day paint.

Change the whole rack to an E36 rack- there are directions online somewhere. It gets rid of the variable ratio so the steering will be quicker off center.

I hope you are keeping the color the same- I love the diamond-schwartz on that.

As for supercharger... I know active auto has a good kit for it, but they are seriously pricey. I know you have forced induction experience, so perhaps you can fab something yourself. Before you do any of that, you need to address the diff if you haven't.
