So sad. My heart goes out to the families of those lost or injured. As someone who has been directly involved with, injured and lost friends due to a terrorist attack I know what the families are going through. But as we have seen time and time again nothing will be done to at least try to stop future attacks. Even if a plan is attempted to be implemented it will be taken to court and fought every step of the way. These attacks are simply accepted by liberal politicians as a fact of life so these politicians would rather see innocent children die than insult a certain religion.

I did my degree in Bradford and lived in the center of the city amongst the Pakistani population. Most of them didn't bother us but the young men hated us with a passion. On numerous occasions we were verbally assaulted and physically attacked. More than a few street fights. By the end of my time there I hated them as well. It's a spiral. At the I thought they were simply jealous of us. We drank, danced and chased girls. They drove around in crappy old cars looking for students to attack.

I honestly cannot see a solution. Those boys have no release for youthful pursuits. you can't the areas of muslims. This sh@t will not stop. The only way to combat it is to fund the police and give them the freedom to do their job. Slippery slope and the pendulum will probably swing too far to the wrong side for some time but the police need the tools to do their job. I'm of left leaning persuasions but for goodness sake the lefties in the UK need to wake up!

I know the general idea is that Europeans fight terrorisme with love and scented candles and I know that behind this comment there is compassion for the victims.
But lit buildings and candles is how we show our sorrow and unity as a people.

Our intelligence communities do their best, day in day out, to prevent these types of attacks. And they are succesful and do prevent attempts.
Fact is that these things are very difficult to prevent every time, all of the time. (islamic or not)
Hidden enemy, random strikes, everyone is a potential victim, all of the time...

Our societies (yep, that's right, same goes for you guys over there) are poorly prepared and not organized to have a 100% succesrate preventing this.
