I never really feel like the special whiskey glasses make a difference.

I picked up some George Remus bourbon a few weeks ago on sale and really liked it, for under $50 it’s worth a sample.

It might mysteriously show up half empty, or half full depending on how you look at it!

I'm not much of a liquor person at all, but do like Buffalo Trace and Maker's Mark.
Old Forester with it's smoky tones is probably the fav right now.
Suntory is definitely not.

Hi! My name is Jim and I love whiskey.

Thanks to a DM from Craigster I was reminded that I have a bottle of Corsets, Whips and Whiskey tucked away. I was waiting to open it after I had purchased a backup. I looked online and found some. 2 more bottles heading my way!!

So I tapped into my reserve bottle, good stuff!!!

I also grabbed a bottle of Old Forester, I was unsure what was good, they had 4 grades, I picked the second most expensive. Would have grabbed the most expensive but the wife was with me, I had to restrain myself.

I like the Old Forester, its a good sipping whiskey. I LOVE the Corsets. It's very complex and really good.

I really cannot compare it to anything else, it is very unique.

Reinforcements have arrived. This is why I tapped into my existing bottle.

Wish I'd taken a pic of the scotch for sale in vancouver airport duty free in 2019.

Big stack of bottles in the window with prices ranging from $12.5k->$150k. Of course I went in and harassed the clerks. The 20yo clerk told me it was a solid investment as they were increasing the prices by 20% every month.

Can't believe I din't take a snap.

The CW&W Jim posted above is some good stuff! 123.4 proof, that's a strong batch. I think the highest I had was 121.

At Burbank Airport at the bar they have a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle. I think it was $250-400 a shot, can't remember which. I wasn't about to pay for one since there's no telling what was actually in the bottle. CW&W is good enough for me! I had enough from the Flaviar membership to figure out what I prefer.

I have a Flaviar sample pack in my booze cabinet. One is a 23 yo Pappy along with some younger vintages. 4 in total.

I was saving it to share with an out of town friend who has not traveled here in years. I think I will break my standing tradition of sipping some 21 yo Bushmills this year for my next trip around the sun in exchange for the 23 yo Pappy's.

My previous bottle of CW&W was 117 proof. I am interested in seeing how this batch tastes.

Next Old Forester you try should be the 1920. Of the few in the series I have tried it is the best and its one of my favorite bourbons overall.
