A moderate contrast vs the red brick.

After seeing the gray...I like it better than the lighter. Less contrast with the room.

Me too! I am in Florida on travel so Mrs crusty will have to wait to to see that!

They have a brick stain that looks a lot better than painting to me. You just change the color of the brick but it still looks like real brick instead of painted bricks.

I assume all of these are permanent solutions? Id be hesitant to do anything that wasnt reversible. I have a lot of brick inside and have considered painting but am really hesitant to do something permanent.

I'm thinking about changing the color of my exterior brick accent to compliment the changing exterior color of my house, so I Googled brick stain and it looks like that's the way to go for me. Won't peel over time.

I would tile over the brick.....

crustychief 07-21-2017 05:45 AM

Well, now we have white bricks. She made the call and got 3 quarts of "Annie Sloan chalk pure white" paint. I think it looks good, it certainly makes the room look bigger. I guess I am getting a new clock as well.

Mrs crusty verifying the clock is indeed 6 inches, as I told her it was.
