Photoshop help?

I wanted to see what my red brick would look like in a white color. I have seen some amazing photoshop jobs in the past. TIA.

I know. but it is great for the daughter when she was learning how to tell time. My wife was not happy at my snarky attempt to turn it white with MSpaint.

With all due respect Herr Oberst, I think I prefer Crusty's fine workmanship. It's kind of got that urban funk look about it.

If you're open to suggestions, I think crystal gray brick would look good with the wood floor. I think it comes as a Stain and not a paint.

Much better...I agree. Maybe even a bit less white.
Again, nice layout.
.
herr_oberst does good work...took a black/white photo of me that I posted here and added color in various stages...I still have it.

Before I bought my house the previous owner painted the brick fireplace white. I don't like it, nope, don't like it a bit. But alas, too much elbow grease to get rid of that paint.

If you are trying for something more contemporary, tile it or something that gets rid of the brick texture not just the color.

Why? Rock out with your clock out I say.

Although, with the white brick, you might consider a big black clock instead.
You know, for contrast.

Lol!

I would consider lightening the red brick color - wire-brush?

Fads change - red will undoubtedly be back and as mentioned it is a pita to get it cleaned up.

Personally, I don't worry about such details. Is it functional? Good to go! One has to slow the spouse on decorative activities that waste a mans time and money.

Or you panel over it with wood (or some other faux paneling that looks like tile or marble) then if you want to go back to brick later just pull the wood off.
