Ahh, to be 3 decades younger
At age 43, I might have been able to handle this car. At age 73? No place for this old man...
For sale, a performance bargain at $50K https://vorshlag-store.com/pages/cars-for-sale-2014-mustang-roush-stage-3

put in a smaller throttle valve
roughen up the intake ports (de-flow them) get lower volume injectors bolt on a more restrictive 2in1 small diameter exhaust, Get one from a Ford KA or somming. get it chipdetuned and you'll be fine

Not for me... I'd get tired of cleaning all of the 73 year-old man-drool from the hood!

Interesting, that thing must be fairly local. It's probably a hoot!

Ahhh Hell! It probably couldn't keep up with a well set up 944 anyway...

Sadly, all of the above it true. The temptation is strong with this one, but no..not for me. Best stick with what I have as far as driving goes. 315 ponies are plenty for my weekly runs to my favorite pool hall. Seriously, reflexes do slow as we age. Even Stephanie's Boss 302 would probably be too much, and is has a couple of hundred less horsepower than this beast.

But why have the power if you can't use it? Nope, this car is better suited to one who still does track days. To use it on the roads would mean straight to jail..or in my case, the emergency room or morgue.

I saw that same car (a different version of the Roush Stage 3) at a car show yesterday. It was parked between GT500s, and Coyote GT350s. I thought to myself that it would take an older retiree to be able to afford a car like that, that only get's driven to car shows on perfect days.

(I'm 52) 72 is not what I would call old. Maybe in our parents day it was but we live longer now and our life expectancy is only going to get longer... Old to me is mid to late 80s. My uncle is 87 this year. He still drives his car and works in his large garden but he's starting to slow down.

I'm 73 now, diabetic, bad ticker (afib) and a left foot with a snapped tendon that makes my clutch foot not as good as it used to be. More power to those with good genetics...'fraid I'm not one of them. On the other hand, approx. 30% of my high school class have left the planet, so I'm still hanging in there...

Every moto I've ever owned (mostly, anyway) was built far beyond my capabilities. Even so, they all were/are a hoot to own.
If nothing else, just the thought of owning and riding them was much of the thrill. On a few, I would keep a mental brick in my back pocket - 'twas a matter of how much twist of the wrist my prudence would allow. Hell, I could get into trouble on my Suz. DRZ400. . As far as a 633 hp 'Stang GT, the same (above) would apply, I would guess. There's always those long (LEO-absent) on-ramps, ya know...

likes to left foot brake.

That one is more track than street car.
![]() I'd swap a race car for a GT350. Drive the gt350 to a track day, not a local cars and coffee car show. Flog it on track for a day and next day drive the back roads home. The drive to and from the track makes a nice 3 day GT car/driver challenge. If it breaks pull out your AAA tow card and get a rental car. ![]() Ford Will Keep Making the Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R for 2018 |

Years ago I met a guy at the Bay Bottom Crawl, it is held in the Keys every year and is a test in sanity. Hemingway would be proud. It was the fastest Autocross I had ever participated in and knowing what my car does at certain RPM's I know I hit 130 at least one time and saw 110 a few times. You are on a 20' wide road, no runoff at all, it is lined with either mangroves or water.
They give out a trophy for the person that wrecks the worst and puts their car furthest into the drink. This guy was across the pits from me in a Porsche 944 was older, how old I was not sure. We got to talking about the course and the best way to handle this one turn where there is a giant dip that throws the car sideways at 60-70 MPH. I just flat out asked him how old he was. He told me the club lets him change his car number every year to match his age. He car number was 86. I was blown away, a new hero. I mentioned him to another guy there, he told me to go check the time board and see his times. He was not winning, he was not slowest, he was right in the middle of the mix with all the other Porsche 944's there mixing it up with cats half his age. Age is just a number, while a relative young buck, I am doing my best to not grow up. I want to be like that guy.
