John Hillerman, Emmy-Winning ‘Magnum, P.I.’ Actor, Dies at 84
Magnum PI was one of my favourite shows on TV, and Higgins was instrumental in it's success. You will be missed Jomathan! ![]() ![]()

Damn, I thought the same thing! And I never cared too much for the Magnum shows. I watched it here and there but just way to cheesy. Thats on the cusp of one generation before me...

Loved that show, the first few seasons anyway. Hillerman was actually from Texas but did the English accent fairly well.

I read the title and thought WTF a poster here Jeff Higgins is dead????
Then realized it was the famous Higgins. RIP but I didn't even realize he was still alive as of recent. |

Hillerman was a great character actor, and his body of work is pretty darn impressive. He was in at least a couple of of my favorite movies, "Chinatown" and "The Last Picture Show". Probably lots more. A real good talent.

RIP John. Corny as it was, I did watch Magnum PI back in the day. Even named one of the dogs after Higgins...
