So would that make him like the Sterling Moss of the MotoGP Premier Class; a winning rider never to win the championship? I realize he (Dani) was a 250cc champion, but I mean the big league. It has been said that Moss was the greatest driver never to win the World Drivers Championship.

I also agree. And can't imagine the pain Dani must feel on a daily basis from all his injuries. These guys are super human.

I agree with Dani in this article except I don't think Dovi has any share of the blame. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/895413/1/pedrosa-disappointed-race-direction-after-fall

Thats an amazing shot that captures how big brass balls out these road racers are. Thanks for sharing.

I watched the pre race interview on MotoGP today. Rossi gave me the impression that Yamaha is getting nowhere with the bike. WTF? How can Zarcos bike be that much better?

I watched it, too. Yeah, not very confidence inspiring!

I couldn't believe Zarcos lap time. How fast would it have been without the wobble? Rossi was within a few tenths of the record but that was only good enough for 9th!
Yeah Cal had a bad one. I haven't heard about his fitness for tomorrow yet. All due respect but I don't see how he keeps his ride. And again the top Yamaha is not the factory bikes. How can Tech3 consistently be faster? It's like the factory got sabotaged but nobody has figured it out yet.

Consensus seems to be that's its Yamaha's electrics team. They are behind the rest of the teams on the MM programing. Tech 3 must be doing something differently and extracting more from the electronics.

Wow, that Moto3 race was bonkers.
The big race was pretty lively too. Can't imagine how Zarco must be feeling. Over 100 crashes this weekend as well (broke the record at that). Crazy... Last edited by Eric Coffey; 05-20-2018 at 06:16 AM.. |

They'd better put Dovi on suicide watch. 2 DNFs!! As good as MM is he's making it a bit boring for me. Kinda like the Yankees in the early 60's. M3 as usual is the best!! Man the involuntary crashes just keep coming. Not sure the 1.3 second penalty on Kornfell was appropriate but that's the rule.
On an insignificant note I can't stand the GP commentators. How can they call a race with their lips pressed so firmly against MMs butt?

WOW! That FP2 Pirro crash in turn one, at full tilt, was pretty horrific!!! Back in the day, he'd be dead! https://www.autosport.com/motogp/news/136443/ducati-wildcard-pirro-hospitalised-after-fp2-crash
