Wow. That looks outstanding. I wish we had been directed there. I am pretty sure I am thinking about Nectar. We ate there a couple of times before discovering the New American Wing Café in the Met. We found it by asking some of the volunteers at the information desk where they would eat that was within walking distance. I wish she had directed us a few more blocks to the Neue Galerie. But the chicken sandwiches in the café are really remarkable.

The Neue Galerie is itself worth the visit - for Klimt's "Woman in Gold" if for nothing else (There was an excellent Klimt exhibit there a couple of years ago). The cafe is very Old Word and charming. I had a coffee and linzertorte there on Monday before having to leave for LGA and promptly getting f***ed by the 4/5/6 train.

am heading out there in june to watch my daughter sing at carnegie hall. our must go eating stops are greek in astoria, moving pictures museum there is cool too. and italian in little italy, benito one is good. if you want ti go to the stayue and walk up to the crown, book now cause it sells out quckly. the moma has free friday nights. great city, lots to do even if its just walking around soho. get a week subway pass.
