Yeah you think it would’ve that easy right? A few years ago while getting gas at the local Safeway. This toad pulls in and then proceeds to light up a cigarette up while filling up his car. Needless to say I did say something about this.. an argument ensues and as he walks up and I expect fists to be thrown. Instead of that he lobs a torched cigarette into our Toyota Sequoia with our dogs inside (back window was down) promptly igniting the blanket they used to lay on.

Couldn’t get the local SO to respond and the video surveillance was crap and it was like pulling teeth to even look at it. I understand the theory but I’m not holding my breath.

So the moral to my story is that no matter the location, if you “EVER” see that happen. Simply walk over to the big red emergency kill switch and “push” that bad boy. Shutting down the entire operation for “safety” reasons. Let them find fault in that!

I live on the side of a mountain. Nearest house towards the bottom is about a 1/4 mile. The next house on the road above me is 3 1/2 miles.

I have some family from North Carolina up on vacation. I look off our deck and here is a guy right in front of my house in the middle of the road peeing right there. Now I live surrounded by state forest preserve millions of threes rocks everywhere to go but to pick right there in front of us.

Well I go total freak out on him. Now he is trying to zip up and grab his backpack when a women forest ranger is heading down the hill and stops me. She witnessed my behavior and now I'm in her sights.

I explained to her what occurred and her response is What do you want me to do as a statement and not a question. I tell her to do what she should do. She approaches the guy and tells him to appologise to me and gets back in her truck and splits.

Bad on her part, but WTF 20 thousand acres and he needs my 200 feet to wizz.

Here on of my pet peves.........People who don't clean up after their dogs.

We have several walkers go by daily. One we know and she has 2 Standard Poodles I witnessed one of the go up on my stone wall along the road and pinch one out. Now I had found this other times and never figured it out until now.
Well she is good friends with our closest neighbor I run into her socializing occasionally so I figured to keep my cool until she came down the road.

I see her coming and just happen to need to check the mail and started a conversation with her and I suddenly stopped by the pile in clear view and said who the h*ll would let the dog do THAT. She plays dummy and agrees. That was it I said to her I watched you and the dogs stopped one leaves the deposit and than the three of you go along your way.

I just gave her the look and she knew. Every day she seems to pick up the pace now going past the house.

But almost daily some one lets their dog drop one on the grass between the stonewall and blacktop. As said before 1/4 mile below till first house 3 1/2 mile up till the next. and they need my 200 feet.

Not to mention the road is gated off just past my house for the 3 1/2 mike section fron November until April 15th so not even cars traffic to contend with.

When folks pass near my country property on foot...I start doing target practice in that general direction. Don't have those problems.

Used to be that way fintstone, but the properties in the surrounding area have all been bought up by NYCitiots and the sound of rounds going off they call the Forest Ranger. Because of such and invasion of strangers and citiots here the Rangers were called here so often one has now rented full time one of the AirBnBs next to my favorite trout stream.

I even need to carry a permission slip to go there so not to get arrested. Oh it has changed so much.

Why does SF not have more public facilities or do they just not care?

I was driving through El Salvador and stopped for gas in La Libertad, my buddy went to the bathroom while I gassed up. Some jerk Salvadoran pulled in and started the pump in his car, walked over to my F150 and pissed on the rear wheel. My buddy came out and we drove away, it wouldn't have been good for us to say something about that. We saw lots of guns driving through that country and truck loads of guys that just flipped us off. No reason to ever be there again.

Really? that is too bad.

I have a house on 10 acres in a relatively rural area, but in a subdivision of nice homes...all on 10 acres or more. Mostly wooded except near the homes...with lots of deer and turkeys, etc.. Apparently someone had complained about shooting/guns and went to the HOA to stop it...so the HOA passed a rule specifically allowing shooting and hunting. Personally, it seems an area better suited to bow hunting...but I think that if I stay here long enough, I will put in a small shooting range (in the woods behind my house).

I still own a small piece of property where I grew up. Our house (shack) was virtually surrounded by national forest Appalachians. It was nice because the national forest area was almost like our own property because no one used it except us. Now there are a lot of restrictions (both for the national forest and private property) as city folks who live many miles (if not hundreds of miles away) keep making designations that effect use...such as watershed or old growth forest (no building, agriculture or harvesting trees allowed on your own property). Maybe some of that silliness will end under Trump...but for now, the area seems a magnet for big city folks who flee to escape other places and then try to make that area the same s the one they left. They are able to have a great deal of influence because they are much wealthier and much more activist than locals.

Shooting on national forest land in AZ is only restricted due to fire hazard once in a while. There are plenty of laws that apply everywhere with regard to shooting within X distance of an occupied bldg or vehicle or paved road, etc. But not too much silliness with regs on nat. forest land (yet).

Back on topic, when I went backpacking and has "do what bears do in the woods" how quickly things happened when you do the squat.

As far as going in public, not to be captain obvious but these folks are not the brightest bulbs on the tree. I'm now 61 and with age I am having more frequent trips to the bathroom, when on the road it is pretty easy to find a grocery store (almost all have public bathrooms) or a fast food joint.

I'm guessing because the drugies and homeless would camp out in them?

Never even realized this garbage existed as a guidebook......seriously,WTH?!?!

A few years back I visited the Stockton Main Courthouse. This is the “Main” entrance mind you. It was like running the homeless gauntlet. The smell was horrid from the areas used as a toilet. Construction has happened since so I am unsure what the city has done regarding this bio hazard.

Downtown Sac crews were using bleach and other chemicals to clean the areas surrounding the main courthouse as well.

Have a niece that was adopted. She is full blood Sioux my Sister got her when just was only a couple of months old. When this neice was in her 20's she took a trip with my Mom across country visiting friends and relatives. Understand they both really enjoyed the trip together.

The one thing Mom had a problem with was the niece kept relieving herself in public and not using rest rooms. She would have Mom pull over to the side of the road just anywhere. She told Mom that that is how Indians took care of things and had been doing it that way for ages. Mom tried to explain that practice was great for the past, but in present times there were a lot more people, it was unsanitary and would spread diseases.

Think all Mom managed to do was change her habits when she was around Mom.

Same here. Must be a Michigan thing.

I have seen quite a few sets of construction plans that were better suited for tp in the porta-john.
