The OP's car reminds me of my old 74 260Z. Sold it in 2004 for only $2,700! Mine was a late 74 with the 280 bumpers. Most 260s had the 240 bumpers but the 280 body was incorporated in late 74.
And, wow, all the other great Zs in this thread....really makes me want another! ![]() ![]()

Nice score OP!
If you want to improve looks and save weight you can do like I did on my 240Z and fit a set of fibreglas bumpers :-) Looks amazing and easily reversible. |

I removed the bumpers from my 78 280Z back in the day, but remember weighing everything up including the impact shocks....88#. I didn't replace them with fiberglass however, and it actually looked better.

Anti-corrosion penetrant. Will hold the rust at bay without the hassle of re-painting.

Has anyone been following Home built by Jeff?
He did a nice rescue/restoration on an early 911. He has started a Z car. Home Built By Jeff Project Z - Introductions and Forum Etiquette - Auszcar That is funny. While searching the web I just saw the last 2 or 3 posts from this thread and didn’t know what preceded them. Way to go Jeff (the bug should be YELLOW!)

Bumper backdate will look great and I really like the look of Minilite wheels on a Z car of this era . Keep the pics coming . If/when I hit the lottery I would love to add a Z or an early 70's Mercury Capri . I had a red one with a V6 and black interior I NEVER should have let that one go .
