You guys have to stop calling the Genesis a Hyundai... You'll make Hyundai mad
I think they dropped the Hyundai and it's just Genesis which I think will be Hyundai's premium line kind of like Acura/Honda, Infinity/Nissan, Lexus/Toyota

I own a 2014 Genesis sedan. For those of you saying the Genesis has a ways to go, or it might be inferior to anything Japan offers.... well, you obviously haven't driven one. Do yourself a favor and take one for a test drive. They are on a different level than anything from Japan.

One of the new car magazines has a comparo of all the S-Class wannabees... BMW, Lincoln, etc. They picked the G90 Genesis as the winner. Its every bit as good as a new S-Class. That is completely mind-numbing, in my opinion.

That Kia is a lot like the Nissan GT-R - it has the numbers but it’s boring / ugly as all hell. The Japanese can certainly get the stats and build a good product but for a culture witch such a history of fantastic design and appreciation for beauty I’m astonished by how awful most of their car designs are... they’re by-in-large absolutely soulless and uninspired and this one is no exception.

I wish I could write as eloquently as you. These are my thoughts exactly. It is hard for me to get excited about any of these new offerings, I don't care how fast they are .

Only, you've got to go to a Hyundai dealer to get one.

I would agree, but could also make that argument about the majority of new cars. Look at a BMW recently? Full of tech, bloated, heavy, unreliable, and many of them are ugly. Far cry from the good old days of the E28, E30, E34, and 2002. Even most modern Porsches don’t do it for me from a design standpoint.

I have to wonder if that won't change with them trying to make Genesis brand the premium brand.
