That was priceless.

A pity sweater guy didn't cross over to the other side and keep it a little bit longer.

When we were teens we all had snowmobiles, my buddy Bill worked all summer for a brand new machine. We were all in his shed oh'ing and aw'ing over this shiny new sled, Bill's running around like a kid at christmas, starting the machine, turning it back off, starting it again, "listen to that baby purr".
On the bench was his kid bothers cap gun, so I decided to have some fun.
As soon as he started it again he put his head right down beside the engine ...BANG!

Bill was like a hyper chihuahua, so he started flipping out, shut the engine off "Did you hear that!!!!" "Bill that didn't sound good". He starts again, "it sounds OK" head goes down again BANG!
He runs inside the house screaming totally bonkers. I show the buds the cap gun and were all laughing our fool heads off. He comes running out with his dad, were all snickering, dad catches on right away. "Well son I guess we'll have to take it back to the dealer'...finally Bill catches on. "You F'in idiots!"

Its funny - my monster is a bit of a tambourine, but the supersport isn't. Similar covers.
Same clutch basket? I had an aluminum basket in my Supersport for years but, when it got pretty well grooved by the tabs on the clutch plates, I put the original steel back in. The steel one is much, much louder.

Different plates? OEM plates have always worked well for me while Barnett plates groaned and grabbed like crazy.

In Taxachusetts, a motorcycle has to be inspected every year. So I took my 888 into the local Honda dealer to get my sticker. As soon as I pulled in, the mechanic came over to tell me something was wrong with the bike--it was making a strange noise. So I pointed out the dry clutch.

I had assembled my first motor at the dealership in my early 20's. Prankster is hiding behind the vehicle, and as soon as I would light it , he was back there tapping on the tailpipe with a wrench. This went on for a few cycles till he could no longer contain his laughter .
I was so flabbergasted...

I had a co-worker do that to me when I rebuilt my 280Z engine. I think he had perfect tapping rhythm because he had me for several seconds.
