Terry you should probably win again, for the person who drives the furthest for this event.

Maybe next year we can drive around your region.

Look forward to seeing you two again, hope my battery holds out, scheduled to replace it the week after the event, Gloria can always give me a jump start!

Hey guys,

As you all probably know by now, the bridge collapse in Burlington will most likely cause hours of delays for those of you coming down South on I-5 to the Costco in Burlington. My suggestion is that you guys find an alternative meeting spot up North and head East to meet us in Brewster instead. The news is saying that it may be weeks before the bridge is repaired.

Hello, Skagit Valley native here. If you want to bypass the area there, Google Maps HWY9, terminate in Sedro Woolley @ HWY20 (go east from there, Seattle folk) and begin in Arlington or Darrington. You can even get there if you go east after getting of I-5 at Lake McMurray Rd. (Exit 221, IIRC).

OK, here's a question - what is the overall route? I live in Pullman, and would be glad to meet up with folks.

That was my thought as well...go via Hwy 9 in lieu of Hwy 20.

I don't think it makes sense to try and meet up with us along the route, because of the timing. Probably it would be easiest to meet up with us at the hotel in Coeur D'Alene. The group is staying at the La Quinta Inn 280 W Appleway Ave just off I-90 at the US-95 exit 12. Hard to say when we will arrive, but it should be around 4:30. When you get to the hotel ask if the Porsche group has checked in. In the event we are running late we'll try and notify the hotel. If you haven't got a room reserved yet, besides the La Quinta Inn there are several others in the immediate area: Motel 6, Super 8, Best Western Plus, Ameritel and Guest Quarters.

Can I suggest an alternative for the Canadians. This would be 1.5 hours longer than going to Issaquah via Hwy 9, but avoids the Lower mainland border crossing.

Leave Thursday night and drive to Osoyoos . Friday morning cross the border in to Orville, down to Omak, then drive down some absolutely stellar back roads to Coeur d'Alene. A few of us drove sections of this route last weekend, but this time it would be in reverse.

It would be 414 km from Osoyoos to Coeur d 'Alene but much more enjoyable than highway driving.

I guess if you guys elect to do this, we don't need to wait for anyone at Brewster coming south on US-97 from Canada.

maybe we could meet in omak instead of brewster? that would add some time to the seattle portion of the drive over.

Boys and girls...to be fair to Larry who obviously put a lot of effort in planning this trip, I would highly suggest sticking with the Brewster meeting point. Just my .02 cents.

I think it look's like I'll be there with a buddy from Calgary; I guess I'll see what has become of the landscape for hotels. Cheers and see y'all later.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to hijack the drive, just thought that we were not meeting in Brewster because of the bridge issue. We will see you there.

but i have a little favor to ask.
i have a friend that has a son graduating HS next week and is headed to Wazzu in the fall, and would like to get him something little from Pulman/WSU. the goofier/inappropriate the better. i can get you funds at the German Beers tonight to cover cost.

thanks
