Stone guard... aaagain.
I found some info on this but not quite what I was looking for.
I'm in the process of blocking my first coating of 2K primer and have not sprayed any Wurth stone guard on the rocker areas yet. Fender wells are done! (I'm going with the rocker delete option) How should I procede? My thoughts are to block this first coating (I'm using 220 dry) and then tape off and spray the rocker areas with chipguard, then coat with last coating of 2K, then paint. my concern with this aproach is: I won't be able to sand the primer on the rockers before paint. How is this usually done? FYI, I'm using the SKS sprayed from a gun.

78,
my advice having 30 yrs paint & body expertise would be to do all your priming and sanding first then apply your chipgaurd before you paint |

you can prime over chip guard . at times this is done the copy the texture if its not as heavy as when you just apply the chip guard . also you can just seal over most chip guards but that does not lessen the texture much at all . if you do prime over the chip guard you can red pad the primer thats on top chip guard . if your doing a prime , block then reprime i would opt for a 180 grit paper not a 220 grit cut . you would end up with a better bite into the primer to primer recoating .
