I'm guessing that Kev pick it up in Ottawa (as he is across the river) so probably around 90 with taxes.

It was 88.00$ plus taxes. So ±99$ total.
Thanks to you too, Traveller (saw your post on Rennlist)! I should have some cleaning done this weekend! Kev |

OK JJ, KeoRS wants to meet up to "see who best used the AT30 to clean up the engine bay!".
Having replaced my 14 ignition wires on my 993 this past winter (where is that bang head icon), I had a chance to clean up the engine bay. Getting to two of the four upper spark plug wire hold-down clamps is impossible without removing the right induction plenum and center connecting piece or as one well known Porsche guru put it, by loosening all six clamps connecting the induction plenums to the cylinder head spigots and pivoting the whole assembly upwards. Well that is not the way I do things and I doubt it would give me enough room without some ham fisted antics, so I removed everything atop the engine and cleaned all parts and the engine bay. It also gave me a chance to inspect all rubber parts. Sure enough, the rubber on both clamps holding down the fuel injection cross-over hose and engine harness had dried out and crumbled when removed. They got replaced. Initially these engine look "busy" until you start working on them and quickly realize how simple they are... ![]() ![]()

Do you mix it with water or do you just spray on and scrub clean ??

I've used it straight since I first started using the product (formerly named Swish Indo 505) back in 1986. What I do... The 20 liter pail of AT30 is a handful to handle so I screw a pump available from Swish for about $5 into the lid opening. Then I pump a liter or less at a time into an old plastic bottle. When using the product, I pour small amounts into a plastic container like the bottom 3 inches of a windshield washer bottle after its been cut off. When washing dirty greasy items, then only a small amount of the degreaser gets dirty as you dunk the paintbrush or toothbrush into the smaller container repeatedly....you end up wasting less AT30. Rinse with plenty of water. If you are as picky as I am, place a strip of heat shrink tubing around the metal band of your paint brush. This prevents any chance of it scratching any painted surface. Old toothbrushes are invaluable. |

Here is another great product from Swish.
Swish Facto AT34 Aluminum Cleaner & Brightener. It is used on aluminum, but I have used it on the back sides of my wheels, both on the painted and bare aluminum surfaces. No before pics, but we all know that it is next to impossible to get that grime out from the cavities on the back sides of the spokes and also the hub. ![]() ![]()
