custom fender flare
This may be totally out there, but has anyone added custom flares to their 911? My car is an 89 Carrera, former track car, so no need to be keeping it stock. My idea is to add about 1 to 1 1/2 inches to flare on rear, and 1 inch on front. Can this be done by cutting fender and adding in new metal - see my lousy pic for an illustration. I realize the cut lines would not be straight, but curved. I know I can add flares, and while I like turbo or ST rears, I really don't like the front turbo flares.
a second question - has anyone widened fronts using rear Carrera flares? Thanks

It's not that simple to cut and weld a piece in.
Here is what I made http://forums.pelicanparts.com/paint-bodywork-discussion-forum/860217-i-made-some-custome-fg-flares-my-911-a.html ![]() Cheers Engelbert

Englebert: That is some very impressive fabrication work. Congrats on a very cool looking car.
