I like the way you are headed - leave the engine alone, simplify and just enjoy the car

I also agree with chuck - get the Griffiths... I did 4 condenser (but I live in Sacramento)- maybe you can get away with less condenser area in MN - heated seats might be needed though (I grew up there - I remember how cold it gets!)

Thanks for continuing to update us all - its been fantastic watching from a distance!

As others have already stated, well done and thanks for bringing us along for the ride.

Piper wants to be in the back of the 911!

It took me a long time to find a carseat that fits but the Evenflo Sonus fits perfectly. Granted, I had to fabricate a three point harness but my son loves it back there.

It is truly a 4 season car for me now (I live in SC, so winter is mild). I am upgrading the interior this winter for a little more luxury. With your mechanical skills the upgrades would be a piece of cake and well worth the cost.
Thanks Chuck! I have to imagine that fixing all the little things and getting the HVAC working would go a long way to improving the experience.

Thank you! All great ideas.

I doubt this will ever be a four season car here, but a few years ago we had a few 60 degree days in January and I remember taking it out.

Soon! She had many drives in my C4S while I had it. Front seat with the airbags turned off.

Amazing find on the Evenflow Sonus! Is your son front facing or rear facing right now?

Since the cat's out of the bag now, Garage Gruppe, which is where my auxiliary garage has been, is merging with Millrace, which is a brand new space in Minneapolis for all things car related.

It's primarily storage space for now but a lounge/hangout/coworking space is under construction and will be open around April next year

They had their opening/garage warming party yesterday afternoon. It was a great hang and the first time I've seen the truck since it was detailed like 2 months ago. It looks insanely good. Despite it not hitting reserve on it's BAT auction, I feel like it's worth every bit of the $25k I've been asking. I just don't use it nearly as much as I could and have felt like the space/money could be better served elsewhere.

And Megan and I got out on a breakfast date last week. It was 20 degrees this morning, I think the Avocado's days before it takes it's winter nap are numbered

Gabe...I just finished reading your 'blog' over the past several weeks. You and your avocado went thru alot!! Nice car! As for making your avocado more comfortable during summer and winter I highly recommend to do what I did to my red 930. When I bought it nearly 20 years ago it had neither AC nor heat and drove without either for 10 years. Then I decided to add electric AC (my car was missing everything needed for proper AC). Now my wife is happy go for a ride/trips during the summer months. Several years later I added a Webasto parking heater since there's no heater box on the headers. It works well even when the outside temps are in the 20's F. Here's the link on how I added the heater.

There are several other threads on how others added the parking heater in different locations. Just thought I'd help out regarding lack of AC and heat.

BTW, regardin your avocado...I'd sell the GT3 engine and stay with your current 993/G50 setup. I think you worked out all of its bugs and it's just not worth the headache and time to make the GT3 work without any flaws. Also, congrats on being a dad!

If you wait until early next year - I believe Classic Retro is adding Heat to their Electric AC - you can get both at once

^^^ Yes, I knew that Jonny is working on marketing the heat pump with electric AC. I doubt it can put out 2kw of heat continually on 12v.
