Replacing Carrera Oil Cooler Lines in '75 911.
Hey guys,
My '75 911S has a Carrera Oil Cooler fitted, and the feed & return hoses for it are leaking. I'm just a little scared that the threads from the original trombone cooler that the car probably had in the past are compatible with this? ![]() I am wondering if I can order these hoses from our host will just screw straight on? https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93020711304.htm?pn=930-207-113-04-M20&SVSVSI=911M And https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93020711100.htm?pn=930-207-111-00-INT&SVSVSI=911M I've seen some documentation online that has me a little concerned that earlier cars may be somehow different, would love to know if someone can confirm. It sounds like getting the hoses freshened up with new braided rubber sections and ferrules locally is going to be more expensive than just buying these? Appreciate your help. |

Those hoses should fit, but you can never tell what mix & match parts a previous owner may have used. Under the mud/crud, it appear to be the shroud for the correct Carrera cooler. The rear hose looks like it was jammed in the beginning. The cooler looks like it should get a thorough cleaning in and out, and then a leak check. You might also replace the large rubber gasket sealing the edge of the cooler.

![]() The inner Hose (Feed to Cooler) looks like its kinked and restricting the flow. It may be the wrong hose, as the two are different PNs and lengths. ![]() Our host has these at a reasonable cost. Len

Looking at the photo, I'm a bit concerned about that as well now.
I went ahead an ordered the pair of braided hoses that our host sells. Fingers crossed they do the trick. |

![]() Very important this all be cleaned before you take the Hoses apart. Dirt is your enemy in this situation. Len
