Factory part, but I think there are aftermarket versions available. Here's what you want (not my part, no affiliation, etc):
I didn't find it offered by our host with a quick search. If you want to backdate both sides: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93010632102.htm?pn=930-106-321-02-OEM&bc=c&SVSVSI=0583 |
Tremendous. I appreciate it. Is the fan etc solely for the purpose of providing heat? Removing them doesn't cause any other issues? To be honest, I like theidea of being able to actually see both intakes in the engine compartment with it removed.

If you can find the 930 version, if memory serves me right, it has slightly better clearance around the distributor. I do remember taking mine to the anvil for some minor clearancing.

OK, hopefully my last question. I am having VERY difficult time getting the section hooked up to the right/passenger connection. I am assuming the one with the slightly longer connection and the "adapter" thing is for the right/passenger side. The other one with the shorter connector and no additional threaded connector went on fairly easily. No matter what I do on the right side I can't seem to get the connector lined up with the fuel rail connector, it is interfering with the intake manifold. Any tips from someone who's put the Mason fuel lines on a 3.2 would be helpful.
Thanks |
Never mind, I reversed them and that fixed it.

Just took pics for you, but glad you figured it out. I thought you might have had them reversed.

Does anyone have detail on how the pressure regulator is removed, maybe a diagram or picture? Thats what's holding me up.
Thanks! |
Here is pic of my old one I replaced. Turns out it’s working perfectly. You can see the threaded portion at the bottom which is how it’s attached.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760812779.jpg

Another pic still hard to see the bracket it bolts to.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760814030.jpg

Is this the bolt that holds it in?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760822403.jpg

Hi guys, for better or worse I’m not very active on the forums. I am however always happy to try and help once you get ahold of me. My email is mason_paul@yahoo.com and my phone number is (734) 740-4919.
Thanks again everyone! |
Hey Paul, if you have any instructions on removing the pressure regulator, I'll take it!
I got the return line fitting off!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760839717.jpg |

I can’t say I recall any tricks here. I took off the airbox and everything except the intake manifold…and the rest was lots of reaching with box wrenches and some mirror work. It’s not easy.

I would love to have basic tips about actually installing the engine fuel line(s). Just a one pager with notes on which line goes to which fuel rail (I initially got it backwards) Also, the best way/order to tighten each of the 6 or 7 connections. I noticed if you tighten the center 3 way "T" shaped connector the end connecting to the fuel rail would be mis aligned. BUT it needs to be placed in position under the center piece of the intake before it's tightened since I needed to have the end loose to maneuver it under there. Detail on the route it takes at the back so it actually reaches the fuel filter would be helpful as well. I finally got it in but I think I now see it’s out of alignment for rhe filter and a bit short so will need to re route it. It's an EXCELLENT product!

Also look back at page 2 of this thread and you'll see the bracket the regulator mounts to. I think your yellow arrow is pointing to the correct bolt. I found it easier to remove the entire bracket and regulator as one piece.

I did an engine/trans drop several years ago to refresh all flexible lines and while in there did 1/2 shafts heater flex hoses etc. I considered doing the fuel hoses with engine in but am glad that I did the drop.

Ok, I got it. That was not the bolts I was looking for!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760906960.jpg
It's the ones facing the camera. Actually easy to reach when you use the force. Lol |
