You won't have any trouble getting at least pedestrian ticket, so long as you don't drag your feet.
How do Targas mount bikes on top? (serious question)

I booked my hotel just now at residence inn. Is friday to sunday enough for the show? Rates for the event are half they would be for none luft rates. Check your inbox people.

How come there are no rallies from the north except ohio?

My car is a coupe, trying to source a vintage Thule handlebar/seat mount.

The last two years we left directly from the event and missed out on stuff happening that evening and the next day....not planning on leaving until Tuesday morning. My co-driver may veto that decision.

Don't count out other legs just yet. The final maps may reveal some other legs.

My company's wifi blocked the image of the map on the site so I just now saw it and am disappointed they're driving across Missouri instead of dipping down into the Buffalo River region of Arkansas. We have some wild roads down here.

Are those specially made racks or will any set work?

The triangle is a very large area a few million folks, if no more Durham hotels you can book in Raleigh, Cary, Apex,Chapel Hill, Burlington and you will be a 1/2 hour or less from Durham plus the area has a great highway system best in the state.
Easy to get around especially on weekends

I'm sorry for asking for information pertaining to the show but that is the reason I am coming so I figured it was relevant to this thread. I guess I'll wait like others for an email so I can plan my trip around an actual show date but I'm not driving 2.5 hours to drive around Durham and look for people gathering in a parking lot.

You have the dates

Luft 7 Weekend
May 29-31, 2020

Official activities around Luft 7 are scheduled to kick off on Friday the 29th of May. The energy will build through the weekend with a Saturday night pre-party and culminate with Sunday's show. Those who aren't heading immediately home can look forward to a mellow Sunday night to unwind, Luft style.

For those who are thinking this is some cult deal or pompous secret society, relax. It's a chill gathering of air cooled Porsches, "curated" and it includes drivers and fancy art projects and historically killer cars.....and all points in between.

They've always been tight lipped about location. So I 've just flown nto LA for the weekend and stayed someplace cool, and ...gasp...gotten up Sun AM and driven wherever I had to.

No big deal.

Get flights or, book a train ticket, or a bus ride, get a hotel in the area, get a rental car or motorcycle, (Turo is cool), and relax. You'll have all the info before you need it.

Go to event (and maybe more) and enjoy.

Everyone is super nice, the T shirts sell out fast. It's a cool time.

Well said. It's not your typical "car show" by any stretch.

I'm super excited about all of it. I've been talking to Cam and Joshy about possible routes through the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Stayed tuned!

That's exactly what a secret cult leader would say.

Hey Shaun...I hear you're the secret cult leader of engine parts refinishing...I have a thread started called "vapor Blasting"///'d like to get your thoughts on the subject in the discussion, if you don't mind.

And...I WISH I was the cult leader of Luft!!!!

Um, my car has 1 windshield wiper, thank you very much. I even use it sometimes. Ok I used it twice last year. If I do the Valkyrie Run, I'm debating switching it up from the R888Rs to something that will last more than 6k miles and maybe have more grip in the wet. Those Toyos are just so sticky though! Any suggestions for guys with 8" & 9" x 16s"?

And now, it's time to get the car ready!
It seems that opportunities like this don't come up that often. So I should probably just go for it.

****ing send it. I've been on R888Rs (8's & 9's) the last two trips to Luft. Drove through rain, snow and hail. Lived to tell about it too. You'll want that grip when you come through the Ozarks. See you soon.

Planning on driving down from the Cleveland Ohio area either Thursday night or early Friday morning. Also taking the long way home Monday and Tuesday through the gap. Still finalizing the plans.
