AndreasK, nice work.

I've been looking to do similar with my 1977.

Looks like you also did a rear bumperette delete.

What did you fill the holes with?

Are use using the original Euro rear rubber corner strips?

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/335141-european-vs-us-bumpers.html

Rear rubber strips be they Euro-spec or US, same length?
...........................................

Rear wheel flares, SC, ST or something else?

Thanks for the info, will do a search on those threads. I've only seen the custom light weight crush tube threads.

@kach22i

Holes in bumper was plugged with a JB weld type "metal".

The car is a US model, so the corner rubber is the US ones. However I think they are the same as the Euro.

The flares I actually think are "RS". Previous owner installed them. But they are pretty much the same as SC. Mine are fiberglass 😥 Next project will be to change them to steel😀🤓

Thank you for the information.

When I took my bumperettes off the steel bolts in them had expanded/rust and made the hole in the aluminum bumper irregular and enlarged.

I cleaned and then filled the hole with an epoxy faux metal in a small cylindrical container, similar to the below.

I think there might be better ways to do it, so thought I would ask.

I do like your wheel flares, not standard SC and would keep them.

How about your source for the rear plate lights? I just welded the bumberette holes on a spare SC bumper. I have a set of LED plate bolts but your clean.

Not shure what they are. Came together with some spare parts, when I bought the car

I’m not typically a fan of the stying changes made on 964s but man yours look really good. Especially with those wheel.

I too prefer G bumpers on a G body. Some of my favorite Porsches have accordions

Good job

Haha. Thanks! I spent hours measuring, visualizing, changing my mind over and over. Think I got it just right, so it was worth it

Nice tuck! Mine’s a work in progress, but I’m liking the less weight on the ass end!

I'm so glad that my car is progressing slowly at the bodyshop. You just gave me an idea with my bumper... Those vents look nice.

Congratulations on getting that far, I never got past drawing on the bumper, but that may change this year. However, I've been saying that every year for the past 8-years, haha.
