Radio wiring help needed
1980 911sc euro spec car...
I took the after market radio /cd player out of the car and replaced it with an original Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio with Blue tooth built in from Chrome London. The question I have is the power wire.... I have a solid yellow wire that appears to be acc with key is on hooked up. But there is also a yellow red wire that has constant power to it. Which one is supposed to power the radio???? Not sure if one was going to power antenna?? It never has worked or even hooked up that I know of. In fact im not sure if its even a power antenna... |

usually one is for memory power and the other is for turning on the stereo when key is on. So both.

Thanks.
I just have the yellow wire hooked up to radio at this point.
The yellow/red constant power.. I taped off since I don't have a clock radio that needs memory... I do have blue tooth built in from Chrome London. It appears to work okay. Thought if constant power was going to it it may run the battery down.. |

on my Sony unit, the bluetooth and sound/eq settings would not stay without the constant power supplied to it. But fair point, if your BT is reconnecting each time automatically and no other settings or anything are having to be reset you might just leave it unconnected.
