Made some intake block-off plates.

I've done a few prints for working on the car.

Valve Adjustment Gauge

The brake tool mentioned earlier. This one needs to be revisited as it didn't seem to be scaled quite right. The paper print out I used might have been off. I can update the model if anyone wants it.

I know Nene! Someone drafted a piece for me and I realized just how often I needed a plastic bit or piece that was not available. The costs of a starting set up are pretty low considering.

This is ingenious in its simplicity. I need to make some that fit my itbs for when the plenum is off but the ITBs are still on. Tired of using painters tape or shop paper towels.

The intake covers look cool but (stupid question) why do you need them? Don’t your carbs go there?

Druepy 03-29-2023 07:08 AM

For me, I will be rebuilding the carbs soon. I figured if I could 3D print covers instead of just shoving shop towels in the ports it would be a cleaner solution.

I love this thread, I'd just like to ask that when people post their awesome inventions and creations, they also post a link to thingverse or some other online repository where the rest of us can download the files? This way you won't have to constantly field requests for the files from people who come along later.

Druepy 03-29-2023 07:41 AM

I put the intake cover and valve adjustment CAD here.

I put them on during rebuild of the engine, so I don't drop anything in there.

For fun I made a cooling fan model.

They could be used also for other things like key chain or so.

Below is the STL. Print with support.

Link to Fan STL file doesn't work.
I think you need to copy and past it directly into your post using post reply.

Anyone, by chance, have an stl file for a horn grille? Would love to print one that would allow me to utilize mesh rather than the louvers…

Dpmulvan 10-13-2023 07:31 AM

Anyone have the skills to print a full size fan 3 piece mold in Petg?

Showdown 10-13-2023 07:32 AM

Outsource it to Shapeways or 3D hubs.

MaRu 01-08-2024 01:22 AM

Hello Tom,

do you sell the rod and chain holder tools, too? I searched your webside but didn´t find them.

Many thanks, Malte

Crazy cool thread.

One of my first internships was at a rapid prototyping company.

I printed lots of my test pieces under my desk!

Definitely need to get myself a unit also or use the one at my job!

Tom Elder 01-11-2024 05:32 AM

Hi, Malte
I have created a Thingiverse account and put the files for the P221 and P222 tools there. It has been a couple of days, Thingiverse have not approved it yet. I will post a link once it has been published.
Cheers, Tom
