front hood seal
Do you need to take the bumper and front smile off to replace the front hood seal?

Thanks, the two little tabs that stick out from one end of the seal go under the smile. I did not know if I had to loosen the smile to get them out.

FWIW, the 3M yellow stuff is awesome. If you have never used it I urge you to follow the directions. If you do it sticks like super glue to your fingers! Very important to let it get tacky before sticking parts together.

+1 on the 3M. Stuff is magic and worth every penny.
Whatever you do, don't use silicone seal. Many have an etching agent which can mess with your paint and lead to rust.
