Hi, that's a really kind offer, thank-you. Since I have a rich idle condition and no O2 sensor, I bought the one with the round plug anyway. Should be here by the weekend.

In UK our test for this year of car is a few percent CO at warm idle, and I'm getting one or two percent too high. I don't recall the exact numbers. Thankfully I have a very understanding tester but I don't want to take too many liberties with him.

I will check and post a pic of the plug in due course. I just haven't been back under the hood yet.

Unfortunately..even if would give you the oxy sensor for free you are in your big Island no longer in Europe..idiotic if you ask me- you would have to pay tax...
Anyway prior testing your 911 make sure you go for long hard drive to make the engine hot ,this way you have more chances to pass the test...if your number are not really way off too much..

Right looks like I have the right one. I have a few disconnected connectors

This one looks close but I suspect it's cruise control

But judging by other pics and posts I've seen this plugged up one is the one. Two of the pins are shorted by the plug.

Thanks for your help guys.

1st pic is heater blower

3rd pic is only used once in factory for ref position of crankshaft. No longer used after.

Don't know about the other two. Don't have them on my car (88 RoW Carrera).

Thanks for your help. I was planning to plug o2 into the 3rd pic, as it's where others have indicated it should be. Did you mean 2nd pic is the one off used in factory?

Sadly I have other problems now. [emoji17]

You have posted 4 pics, right?
- First pic is heater blower connector
- Second pic (green connector) don't know what it is, never seen it.
- Third pic is indeed the ref sensor connector used only once at factory
- Fourth pic is presumably the O2 sensor connector, harness part to ECU. If so, you need to buy the very first sensor from ebay that you posted the other day and plug it there.
But as said before, first check that you have the correct ECU that is able to manage O2 sensor, otherwise no good.
My 88 RoW with 930/20 engine has no cat and was shipped with a premuffler without any O2 sensor and no harness for it. So I cannot tell for sure that this is correct.

Yes, you're right, my apologies. Fourth pic was the sensor. So the sensor is fitted, it went in perfectly and the car is now behaving beautifully.

After a few shenanigans.

Hopefully your 911 3.2 DME ECM has the following;

1. The discrete circuitry for an O2 function, not the 0-261-200-051 ECM.

2. The EPROM has the O2 microcode.

Pretty sure my eprom is 1267355357. The car has an aftermarket exhaust and in one of the doors I found a torn off O2 sensor cable so I suspect it was removed at some point.

Thanks for pointing that out. Just so happens I have a new one recently bought in a box waiting to go in.
