New OEM Cam Oil Lines do not fit my 87 Targa

So I will called Cohline oil lines from our host yesterday and noticed they were different from my leaking lines. I just got back from will call'ing Porsche OEM lines and they are just like the Cohlene lines and do not match up to my old lines.

My 3.2 is stock as far as I know so am confused and wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else and if there is a 'fix'.

In the engine pic you can see that the ferrule for the tensioner line is offset and also the banjo fitting is skewed as well not to mention that it really stretches the rubber to get it to dry fit.

On the passenger side the line looks like both the engine and ferrule connection line up but notice that the banfo fitting is flipped 180 degrees.

Truly appreciate any help at all!

Thanks

The left tensioner metal line needs to be 09 on the last two numbers. It's got an S curve that fits the new cam line. Or, you can just carefully tweek the straight one.

Hi, thanks for replying. Are you saying that the part number for the new hard line from the tensioner ends in 09?

The issue with that line in addition to the ferrule not lining up is that it's a little short and when I dry fit it the banjo fitting is not flush and the hard line hits the side of the plug well so moving the ferrule would only solve half of the issue unfortunately.

I can't be the only one with this issue unless I have a Unicorn?

Thanks Again!!!

Start the nut at the engine case first, don't fully tighten it. Should be able to get the banjo bolt threaded at this point without much trouble.

I'll be honest, I am confused what the '09 line' is. I mean no disrespect whatsoever but The picture doesn't have a ferrule connection in line for the Carrera tensioner oil line or am I confused?

The lines I need connect to the engine and have the ferrule connection in-line for the Carrera tensioners. And I am still confused what an '09' line is?

I appreciate the help and if I am missing something let me know.

Thanks Again!!

930 107 347 09. That's the number for the metal tensioner line that will fit your cam line. It attaches to the horizontal line. No ferrule.

I changed both horizontal lines a few years ago. Didn't have to change the small vertical hard lines. Here's the part numbers I ordered.

Right line is 93010734811
Left line is 93010734714

Google these numbers and you should find many pics of what the new lines should look like. They should fit without trouble. No need to change the vertical hard lines, they seldom leak.

Seafood,

The banjo fitting in the “09 line” shown in John W.’s picture uses an 8-mm banjo bolt to connect to the Carrera hydraulic tensioner hidden behind the chain housing cover. Could you visualize it or need a picture?

I have a few pictures of how I had to bend my tensioner oil line to fit. I had this same issue.
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/848849-barn-find-1986-911-turbo-22.html

Was very frustrating, and initially thought I had ordered the wrong parts.
