With all the recent talk about Panteras, DeLoreans, Stricklands (cough), and Lotus's, let's get some input as to what are our favorite dream cars of all? Street legal cars only!
I don't know the trick to doing a poll in this venue, so can someone help me to do it? I would like to see a contest for the all-time favorite, period. Let's think about these cars: Acura NSX, Lamborghini, Pantera, Vector W8, Ferrari (my fav's- 512BB and Enzo), Maserati, McLaren, M-Benz, Panoz, Ford GT40, Shelby Cobra, Bugatti, Saleens, BMW, Koenigsegg CC, TVR, Corvette, Jaguar, Lola, Pagani Zonda? Or is it our beloved P-cars (DP935, 959, 993TT, GT1, the new Carrera, etc.) This is a no holds barred- ultimate car fantasy poll. Personally, I was nothing but a 959 fan until last month, the Enzo has beat the Porsche out in my dream car parking space!

You should check out this months Excellence! 959 cover story. I got home at 2:00 AM the other day and still found myself reading the entire article before I went to bed! Had a pup-tent if you get my drift! They are finally 50 state legal. For big $$$$, of course.

Hmmm, probably any Porsche 911 turbo from 1996+, R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R, a 959 FOR SURE and I've always had a fond spot in my heart for a red on beige F355 Berlinetta. That's about it.......I don't know why, but Lamborghini's never did it for me looks-wise and after riding in one I think they're absolutely junk sports cars (for the money anyway). I have yet to ride in a Murcielago, I'd expect it to be a good deal better since the VW group probably worked some issues out. A Mclaren F1 would be nice, as would a Jaguar XJ220S.......when I have the money to buy one of these things I might think a little harder.

I would go for the RUF (1987) CTR.. it is my all time favorite...., one of the most fierce porsche cars ever made.. one hell of a sleeper as well.

My dream car is sitting in my driveway.
If I had to pick a different car I think I'd take one of them Gullwing Mcars from the 50s. Pretty classy ride.

I'm afraid that it's Porsche snobbery time! I think the only non-Porsche exotic that I'd even consider would be an 86 Ferrari 288 GTO. The 328 GTS was, IMHO, the prettiest Ferrari ever but the 288 GTO looks like it's been to the gym and it's ripped! Drool.
Ok, enough of that... here's the dream-Porsche list: 911 GT1 EVO street car 959 Sport version 550 Spyder 911 Turbo (1989 please... classic Turbo looks and a 5-speed to boot!) 356 Carrera Speedster 911 Carrera RS (no one's list is complete without this 73 beauty!) 993 Carrera RS (dream daily-driver) Porsche: I bet you can't drive just one!

Im driving one of my dream cars...86 911 Cab. When I make my fortune, I plan on creating a Porsche collection to rival Jerry Seinfeld's.
![]() There are a few Ferraris, that Id love to have as well. Though... I dont really know too many of the model numbers, except the 308(?) Magnums Car... Id like one of those old Jags...A Shelby Mustang...AC Cobra...Acura NSX... a Bentley for cruising. |

Just looking through some of the pics on my hard drive here's what I like...
Porsche - Jaegermeister 934, 550 and several 917's of course - oh, and a 908spider and a 904, it wouldn't be right to leave out an RSR either Ferrari - Original GTO, 288 GTO or F40 would be fun, Pro drive 550, racing Daytona Ford - MKIV, GT40 Audi Quattro Sport BMW - CSL, M1(racing version) Alfa - T33, stradale (most beautiful car ever built?) or those lovely saloons from the 70's Jaguar - Lightweight e-type, XJ13 (maybe that's the most beautiful car) V16 Auto Union Type 35 Bugatti I'd better stop there. |

Black 77 - 80's turbo with a big ole ass. When I saw one of those when I was around 5 or so.. I said "Dad dad look at that! I want one of those when I grow up!" I love 911's in general and I really like the 70's and 80's style better than today's. That is why I purchased an 80 SC this passed March. I set a goal for myself that I would own a 911 by the age of 30 and I made it with 3 mos to spare
I now have my dream car but not my ultimate dream car. That is ok. I am more than happy with my SC

There are lots and lots of great cars
275GTB is definitly close to the top of the list '73 911RS is right there Jag racing D type A big old 30's 12 Cyl Caddy or Packard Gullwing Merc DB5 (watched Goldfinger on TNN last night) and on and on and on Funny, not too many modern cars make the list for me. Yea an Enzo would be neat or a Carrera GT, but I like the old cars where the production (or near) cars were actually raced. The Enzo has as about as much in common with an F1 car as it does to my Land Cruiser (and I know it is touted as being as close as anyting to F1)

It's impossible to make this list, but it would be very long. I would have a large collection ranging over several types and makes.
Lots of Porsches, several Ferrari's (beautiful cars) some hotrods ('65 Chevy Impala 425hp 396, and possibly a 409hp 409 too) and severaly more off the wall cars. It would probably end up like Langers' list.
