Joe Engineer Bumper Mounted NACA Duct Oil
Hi All,
Today I installed Jose Martinez’s (Joe-engineer dot com) front bumper mounted oil cooler duct. it is a beautifully designed and 3-D printed part. My car is a street driven 83 911SC with a stock engine. I have driven it in hot California summer weather with no experience of high oil temps but this may provide a little help for the stock trombone oil cooler Jose’s instructions are a big help but it is an easy install. The piece is beautifully made and most importantly, sits flush with the bumper. As a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience designing things, it is always a treat to see someone design something that is elegant, simple, and well made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. That’s a clean design.
Do you think it will pick up air the same as the scooped duct? |

Yeah i love mine! Joe did a fantastic job designing these. I ended up doing the drivers side too just for symmetry

That looks nice!
PO of my car installed a scooped one. Definitely not as slick looking.

Looks great, I'm considering. Would be nice if Joe could have found a captive nut for that one side with awfully tight access.
