just to confirm..it's not a Carrera? My mechanic said it has the larger inlet ports...

Vin: 9119301765 - Decodes as 1979 911SC RoW Coupe
Engine: 6401565 - This doesnt show up in any database I have found.

Help?

Nevermind. Found it on Porsches PET manuals

You need to search better databases.
640xxxx could be a 1970 914/6 or a 1980 911SC. Fortunately for you 1565 falls in a dead zone for the 914/6 so that eliminates it. But a 1980 engine in a 1979 car is a cause of concern and value.
