As the title says, could any of you help me out by identifying my rears? I know the 930 vents werent there when he got the flares so dont think that they are 930's

Well, the dome height makes me think those are JE's, maybe 9.5:1 CR, but the four valve pockets have me baffled. Those aren't Porsche pistons, are they?

I think Jim is trying to say that this is the engine rebuilding forum. Why don't you delete your post and re-post in the tech forum?

Look like slant-nose flares to me though.

autoxracer31, I saw what looks like the exact same flares in the book, "Porsche Legends," by Randy Leffingwell (pg 190). They were available from the Porsche factory Special Wishes (Sonderwunsch) program. Oh, and to Chris' point, the pic in the book is from a '83 slant nose 930.

Sorry about the earlier help that I offered up.

You hand over your first born (and lots of money) to the factory, and they will build you almost whatever you want. Pretty simple program. They have done some strange color combos, racing setups, anything you can dream of.

They are definitely standard-width SC/Carrera flares. To me, it just looks like someone "added" the 930 ducts to a normal SC. Or, someone added SC/Carrera flares and the ducts to a `74-`77 car.
