Looking for High End Wheels

Looking for 18"/19" High End chrome wheel to fit
85 turbo. Might look at RUF wheels.
Anyone have some for sale?

Personally, I would go for 17"ers for a balance of performance and comfort along with tire selections without having to modify fenders.

Curious? Why 18"/19"'s...The first time you hit a nasty pot hole, chances are you'll be replacing a rim.....

Fender modifications typically aren't necessary with a 930 / widebody. And 18's will give you MORE tire selection for your car if you're planning anything larger than 255s in the rear.

While 18s will be a bit more susceptible to pothole damage, they will still be ok(just do take car and be aware of what you are driving on/over)

The sweet spot in tires right now is in the 18s. There is the largest selection of appropriate sizes there, 17's will be a close second.

Look for as light and strong a wheel as possible. Forged is usually best. In no partuicular order; Fikse, Kinesis, BBS, SSR, HRE all make very giood choices. In the past Ruf has used wheels which are on the heavy side

kqw,
Like jpinkert stated 18's will fit, 19's could get little
tight.
I'm looking for a little more "bling", in my life.
I'm running (4) 17'x10" OZ racing superlites now,
245's ft. and 275's rear.

The nice thing about 18s is you can get 335/30x18 that are no taller than your 275/40x17s

Hey, I guess it's all relevant. Living in the N'East some of our roads, especially in the cities are an invitation for an alignment and bent rims.

When I lived out West, I aligned the car once in five years. In the N'East, it's needed every year....Last year, it had to be aligned twice.

I'm running 225 front, 275 rear on my Fikse 18's. I'd have to dig up the details, but I gained between 5 and 8 lbs per corner over the 205 front, 245 rear on fuchs that I had before.

I have 9X17 and 11X17 now with 245s and 315s. I'd like to do 10X18 and 12X18 in the future with 265s and 315s and then maybe someday play with the fenders for 285s and 335s or 345s.

18s are definitely what you want, to me they look huge on a 930 and you have a very nice selection of tires. You need at least 315s on the back of those high hp monsters you have.

The Ruf wheels look nice, but are very heavy.

There are very few 18/19" wheels made in early offset, so you may also want to consider 3-piece modular wheels.

I am kinda digging the gold finish right now. Not sure what I would go with when the time comes to pull the trigger.

Amac, I have some 18" Folger wheels just sitting around. Probably sell them fairly cheap. They are not chrome, but polished. They are 8" and 10". Downside is that they are fairly heavy, but that makes them practically indestructible. I've hit some pretty good potholes with no damage. Let me know if you are interested.

BBS

I just recalled www.dynolabs.net had a set of brand new silver BBS 3 piece with brand new tires installed for Porsche, for sale.

Call Ray to ask about pricing or a pic

I am not sure if they fit all years porsche, I know they will fit a 964

I believe it to be a 17" with 205/50 fronts, 255/40 rears

I believe the customer decided to turn the car into a full race car and decided not to use the brand new wheels he had. It still its plastic wraps on it
