Totally Ridiculous...

Check out how many times they warn against not obscuring your plate with it, however they clearly advise that their "legal advisors" have told them this is not an "endorsable" offence (ie// demerit points), and their own promotional picture has their crap covering the licence plate.

They're clearly promoting it to avoid toll/speed/red light cameras and identification in other situations. (how about hit and runs, DUI, robberies)

IMO it's pretty lame.

But if someone wants to pay 8 bucks for some mud, then they're not too bright to begin with.

My 2 cents...

(BTW - why is it a penny for your thoughts but you gotta put your two cents in? Someone's making a penny somewhere.)

guys, this is from the UK

probably an idea that was carefully refined in a shady pub, whilst consuming large quantities of "Lager".
the end result , a can not only filled with mud, but also a serious dose of "sarcasm"

Gents please !

The pommies don't joke about serious matters.

For a nation so successful in car manufacturing and with no sun for most of the year, spray-on-mud is a real fashion item.

I mean, we sell sun-in-a-can here to turists from the UK.

Any orders! $5.00 per can.

One could also make a day out of it and have fun with the kids in the garden producing GENUINE mud and subsequently apply it to the car. Truly a good way to spend time with your kids

I once read in an Asterix comic book that brits drink warm beer??? If that's true then spray on mud isn't that strange at all

Spray-on bull**** belongs in the same category

BTW, on TV over here they said legislators are thinking of making the "bull bar" on FWD cars illegal (because it kills people - I can see that point, in fact). No bulls or cows in the streets over here, plenty of bull**** though, and soccer moms (actually, macho dads in BMW's is more the thing, that's in an entirely different bull-league, then).

Never mind...

not all beers are supposed to be ice cold

some of the Belgian abbey beers for example , are best kept in an alcove, not warm as in room temperature, but definately not fridge cold.

Duvel for example , best served between 6 and 10 degrees C
red or blue Chimay 10 to 12 degrees C

so it all depends on what beer they drank in that Asterix book
i think some of the older English beers , are indeed served warmer than a sixpack of Budweiser...

okay, i have to do some defending here.

actually we do have the skills (the latest batmobile was brit built), its just when it comes to mass production we can't cut it. I wouldn't say I wouldn't buy british but most of the cars I desire (apart from the TVR) are foreign.

we have a huge problem here with cameras. They have come to replace most of our "traffic cops". So I can understand products designed to avoid the fines. There is also a clear spray available that is supposed to reflect the light so that the plate cannot be read.

As for the warm beer (bitter) I totally agree. But you can keep your "Bud" - that stuff tastes like p*ss (not that I know what p*ss tastes like). Give me a Stella or San Miguel any day.

Rich mate , you definately have to check the other Belgian brewskies

i can very much recommend the Duvel and Leffe's , or if you're really brave, the Leffe Tripple or Gouden draak ( Gold Dragon ).... seriously , if you practice with these during the week, then you'll outlast all your mates when you go out on a pisch during the weekend

forgiveme for the beer side tracking , it's friday afternoon and it's 35C in the sun outside.. not in the mood for work

and...if you're going to have Stella, you have to go Leuven to try it, the English stuff is brewed with chemicals, the Belgians (God bless them and their beer) don't allow this, so it tastes...sooooo good! (I could really sink one now (also in the office, staring out of the window at the blue sky dreaming of beer and my 911)...

I have to agree with you disckster about the cameras over here though, it's a nightmare. There don't seem to be too many on the rural twisties up here in Norfolk though!

PS, you also forgot to mention the beautiful Lotus Elise, ok, Lotus is not owned by the Brits any more but it's still built and designed by them up here in Norfolk. I raced the new Elise the other day in my 911 and he kept up with me very easily, lovely cars.

You're right, we sell all the best products to foreigners!

I have a friend in the police force and he told me about the lack of traffic officers. I'll have to head to Norfolk.....

for a while now, UK has been having Gatso problems. This will solve it. It's tough to get the car muddy "just so" in a way to slightly-but-effectively obscure the license plate.

Even if pulled over, can't really be blamed for mud "randomly splashing" your car....

it's brilliant.
