Alexander-
Glad I could help. Certainly benefits the thread to have your car included. Very nice! What size wheels and tires are on there? |

bob,.... well thanks again for the help,.... and especially thanks for the nice compliment on my ride. i'd hate to think that a tea tray would "bug" 2 people,.......
the fronts are 15x7 with 215-50-15 the rears are 15x8 with 215-50-15 NO rubbing issues anywhere, hard cornering included. the front is lowered to 23.5 inches. |

I really like the early cars and the 78-89 turbo cars but I'm starting to like the looks of the mid year cars more and more. This one was very fun to drive and driving it felt very similar to a 1970 911T I use to own in the 80's.

Tea tray is the next wing in time after the ducktail and the precursor to the turbo wing. They are kinda big for my tastes, but that is splitting hairs.

bob,
ya i had a hard time finding my 15x8's unbelievably i found my 8's at a swapmeet and paid 50 bones for them! i got them from an old crusty guy who just wanted to part out his 911, i had them polished, i painted them and walaa! i was running 15x7 all the way around but i wanted a deeper dish.... and yes 15x8's fit. VERY limited on rubber but i can tell you i have ZERO complaints! make sure you post a few pictures when you mount yours! hoosierdaddy- dillinger............... WOW! those are nice! |

I can see the occasional attraction to the "junk in the trunk" thing, but for the long haul I'll go lean

mid-year cars were only available for 4 years..this makes them one of the more 'rare' production models (don't know actual production figures though). the early, sc, carrera, c2, 996 etc were all available for more years.

(I know, I have them too ) . Lose those and you have a winner. I love the chrome and streamline look. Most of those 2.7's by now have had the proper upgrades performed as well so that's a non-issue.

cmc140.....That is the prettiest mid year car I have ever seen. The wheels, the stance, the H4's blend to make a Very Sweet package.

Hey Gumba11/Chris,
Is that a 1977 911 with RSR flares, 993 nose, and 3.8 wing? Very nice combination for a sharp look. Especially like the bumper/valance treatment with the older body style. Who sourced you? Nick
