Thanks Rick! Truth be told, I actually drew some inspiration from your SC as I followed Al's EFI conversion thread for your car. I went the same route with his Triumph/AEM kit. The shaved factory bumper is highly underrated IMHO...

I am not familiar with that term. Can you better describe what you did?

Surely, it involves removing the bumperettes and all moulding strips from the bumper and filling in all the holes, leaving just the bellows. You essentially get a 74+ RSR/IROC rear bumper with the bellows. The downside is you still have the weight of the steel bumper, but you have a lot less hassle with fitment than you would with a fiberglass bumper.

The front is actually a fiberglass bumper from EB Motorsports...it's their SCRS bumper, I think it's one of the cleanest options for SC/Carreras if you don't want to backdate or go the IROC route. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of IROC bumpers on non-widebody cars, but to each their own. EB makes great stuff, the fit was excellent out of the box with little trimming required. They're based in the UK, but Rothsport is their US distributor and is who I bought the bumper from.

I've done this on my SC but the bumper is aluminum...not steel...weighs less than you'd think. I will keep this as the chance of a rear bump is much higher than a front one.... and that is where my lump sits... nice 930-10...needs a bunker.
