Don't cars get banged up at this event every year?? What a waste. I don't get driving like that on a public road, maybe its just me but what is going to happen when someone gets seriously injured or killed?
Go to a track if you want to drive like that. Cheers

I entered my 74 RSR Clone in the 2007 New Years Day Run. I have developed/posted a thread on the Porsche Marketplace Discussion Forum
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=323003 I am interested in what this vehicle may be valued at. If value is high enough, I may consider the sale. FYI: No worries, if the RSR Clone sells, I will bring my early car (Silver 70 911) for the 2008 New Years Day Run. Your thoughts and input are greatly appreciated. Paul

I was out on the first stage in the wife's new (to her...) '83 930 (she was navigator ) and I remember her remarking to me that there seemed to be a lot of testostorone rolling that really should be at the track. We had fun, but I just knew...as in past years...there would be some sort of mishap, so we made the decision to just do the 1st phase of the tour...knowing that when the street racers get warmed up in the 2nd part of the run it'll be even more dangerous....as proved to be the case. Situations like this can pop up instantly in any spirited driving on public roads, especially if your only performance driving credential is your driver's licence from a DMV test, and one really isn't familiar with understeer or oversteer and how your cars suspension is (or isn't) dialed in for it. We drove at a pace where the wife & I enjoyed the scenery and were able to chuckle at some of the manuvers we saw..... I'll go to Big Willow when I feel a real need for speed....

. I think you have a gorgeous car and you keep it immaculate, IMO one of the nicest I saw. If I could afford it I would buy it in a second~Jason |

Always a pleasure seeing my So Cal friend's.
The Jalopy love's this event. I made without CHP writing me a ticket. Paul and I ran together, Nice to meet you finally! More modification's to the Jalopy's powerplant, Ran great. The 964 Intercooler works wonders!
