Steve,
I just had Redmond European add more neg. camber to my SC. It has -1.5 in the front and -1.7 in the rear. That is the most they could get out of it. The caster is 5.4 and toe is .12 front and .08 rear. My car is mostly a track car and the ride height is low 24.5 front and rear. I also have 22 and 29 torsion bars, carrera sway bars, bump steer kit and use RA1 tires. It is a nice set up for the track. Dave |

For alignment and cornerbalance in Vancouver, I used Gerry at Levett Auto in North Vancouver. He does alot the work for alot of the Porsche shops in town, and his rates are good. He can be a bit grumpy at times, but knows his stuff.

If you are setting it up for track then what you want is simple. As much camber as the stock settings will give you. That should be somewhere around 1.5 in the front and 2.5 in the rear.
Look at about 1/16" toe in the front (and that is easy to adjust if you want to play with it) and about 5.5 to 6.5 for caster. Rear toe is just a smidge more then the front. I think I am running 3/32". The camber is the important one though. If you need more you can start messing with parts to increase the adjustments. This may bump you a class so think about it before you do more them simple adjustments.

Steve,
When I was still running a big torsion bar setting on my car here is what I had mine set to. The car was a dream on the track and we have discussed how I drive...... FRONT Camber -1.5 degrees Caster 6 degrees, 8 minutes Toe 2 minutes each side (total 4 minutes) REAR Camber -2.1 degrees Toe 3 minutes each side I will dig up my current set up since the coilover/935 set up. Cheers

Hi thanks I did alignment today at Levett, here is the result front -1.4 camber, caster 5.86" toe .06" rear -2.04 camber, toe .04".
corner weight LF 585 RF 569, LR 924 RR 870 with 220lb ballast driver total 2940 lbs, actual car weight 2720 lbs this is already delete a/c rear seat , replace 2 recaro spg, racing battery no spare tire no tools , car is really heavy ride height still high f 25.25 average r 25.5 average . The rear weight different 54 lbs which I do not know is ok or not since I am not an expert, but from Bruce Anderson book should not more than 40 lbs. but anyway thanks for all the input.

In my opinion it is better to sacrifice a little rear corner weight for more equal front weight distribution with the 911. This is due to the light front ends we have and not wanting a wheel to lock up under braking. So without driving the car, I would say they did okay. One must consider what happens when we have an instructor or passenger in the car as well. Over all I think those are good numbers!
Steve, bring the car by on friday night or saturday if you are free and I can show you some roads out here to test it out on! Cheers
