Extension is good solution with 915 transmission. But G50 Hargett shifting hardware is located much lower. So if I understand correctly you not able to lift e-brake to get it "click". See the red arrow on Kepa's pic and compare it to pics from 915 shifter on page two.

ooops, didn't realize it was for a G50, but when looking at that pic, what if you bought a used emg brake, cut it, welded in a right angle right where the end on the grip is at, added/welded an extension so when you pulled up it up it did not hit what the arrow is pointing at. Am I making any sense?

Just adjust all the slack out of the e-brake and put the shifter into reverse - it will move the joint over enough for you to get a couple of clicks. Not the most optimum solution but it will work well enough for you to pass inspection.

I have a 915 on my Harget is really very good i am very happy
for the handbrake I cancel service and I will build a hydrolic handbrake on the side bernard
