Windshield wiper motor
My windshield wipers squeal like pigs when running, besides not returnign to the resting side when I turn them off. I suspect some of the bushings on the lever arms, or motor connector. I can lift the wipers off the windshield and still get the noise --in case somebody would suggest new blades. Am I even worm?
Could anybody tell me where the motor is and how to access it? Hopefully the windshield does not have to be removed, but I can tell that some of the heat/ac might have. Thanks! Enrique Carrera-85 |

take all the washers off - and keep them IN ORDER
then dribble lots of oil down the shaft replace and turn back on - that may solve the whole problem next, grease the linkage joints can also replace the bushings noted above pulling motor out is last resort - do not need to remove windshield but do have to remove all hoses, vent stuff, etc. |

Their failure to park properly is often due to a connection in the column switch that has been moved out of position. If you search this you will see how several people have fixed it.

I guess I know what I will be doing next week end. I may go ahead and buy all the bushings and little parts. I do not want to have to go in twice. Do you think all of those are accessible without removing the motor? Enrique. |

might be some under the cowl & on top of the motor
the Pelican parts diagram or the PET would show you for sure. - the 356 guys learned to do the oil trick religiously... |

Windshield wiper blues...
I did as much lube as I could after removing all the vent components, but it still squeals. Mi guess is that the motor-gears need to be looked at, and may be grease, or just replace. Does anybody have any "how to", may be pictures of how to remove the wind-shied wiper motor, and all the mechanism. I started today by removing all the vent components (or almost all) in front of the motor, only to find out that I cannot see or reach any screw from the trunk to remove the darn thing. Am I missing anything???
