looking for Nurburgring Yellowbird video

I can find it on youtube but for some reason my "XP windows crap collector" can't and won't play it correctly, and besides it won't let me download the video to keep for myself.
Does anyone have a copy of it in avi or wmv form that I can download.
All the search results either come up with Youtube or outdated links.
I used to have them on my laptop but ofcourse the hard drive failed and I lost everything. I'd also liked to get the BMW M3 of Hans Stuck as well.

My kids got XBOX 360 and Forza looks great. I can't drive worth a crap with out feeling the G's and my 10 year old whips my slow ass. I dont' get it, the feeling is just not like the real thing. I was going to show them the yellowbird CTR video on the nurburgring and tell them that's what it's supposed to be like. I have one of a Frank Stippler on the track but it's not the same as the yellow bird excitement.

Thanks.

Thanks so much, got them downloaded and they work. I wish they were better quality but that's what I remember my old copy was like.
Now for Hans Stuck.

Wow! That was my first time seeing that video, was it a promotional video for RUF or something? (video #2 is awesome!)

Yes, it's a Ruf promo video "Faszination at the Nurburgring" with Stefan Roser (Ruf's test driver) at the wheel (in loafers!) You can actually buy the DVD from them. http://www.rufautocentre.com/parts/faszination.asp

If you look carefully, there's an external shot from the Ruf video of the Yellowbird sliding round a corner with lots of rubber smoke in the closing credits of "Ultimate History Of Porsche", I think it is.

That two part avi is one of the worst quality videos I ever watched more than once...

I just watched all four parts, that was awesome! Thank you so much for posting that link, I would have never known about it otherwise One of the things I think is fascinating is what RUF accomplished with a standard bodied 964 (yellowbird), as opposed to going with a widebody, unbelievable...

Actually, there are significant aero advantages to the narrow body. Most are related to less frontal area that helps to reduce the Cd and makes the car more "slippery".

It's not a 964. The Ruf CTR1 "Yellowbird" was built on a seam-welded 3.2 body shell, with a 1972 oil-door/tank added and lightweight bits substituted. They then added twin turbos and many other goodies (including a gearbox of their own design) to a motor that originally started as a 3.2 N/A:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RUF_CTR

Yellowbird, as the prototype car, had NACAR vents on the fenders for the twin intercoolers - which actually emitted air, as opposed to letting it in - as per the original intention.

This is a later Ruf - no NACAR vents, extra cooling slits on the rear bumpers, rarer round brake ducting holes:

http://www.356-911.com/post1974/modernspottersguide/rufctr1.htm

Alois quoted 469 BHP for the CTR, but Yellowbird so comprehensively trounced the 959 on the top-end speed tests that many people believe that the car actually had significantly more.

BTW, if you any of folks use Firefox as a browser, the DownloadHelper add-in will let you download Flash videos to your local hard drive, and then you can use FLV viewer to play them.

Does nothing for the appalling YouTube video quality (I consider this to be bordering on totally unwatchable), but at least you remove the buffering and (hopefully) some of the jerkiness due to that.
