Engine back fire
I have a 2.7 from1977. The engine is working properly, but randomly it backfires a puff sound intermittently not continually but about 3 times per minute or something like that. I think it is not normal. What it could be?

I had a 77 911 S Coupe. Most common cause of that type of backfire sequence : Your fuel pump is on the way out.

slw911sc: Thank for your help, this is my first 911, I bought it dec 29, 2007. Had no manuals at all. Ihave bought 101 proyects for... and Haynes manual and read verything I can and all pelican info on it. Had take it to the road about fou times. I have read so much about pulled head sutds, that that was the first thing that came to my mind. Thanks for bringing a like calm to my mind. Thanks
