Fuse box labels

Horrible isn't it?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207140630.jpg

To fix it, download this pdf file [edit]version 02[/edit] and print out the ones you like. Make sure you do not scale the printout down or up. It should be 100% zoom in the print settings of your pdf viewer.

The fuse order is for my 1970 911E and I know it's good for other years but certainly not all. I have two versions for each of the three fuse boxes in the car. One version is the original and the other is modified in some way: On the fore labels I've added fuse size in amps and the aft one I've switched the order because the fuses are upside down on my car (don't know if this is standard).

Now, cut around the printouts crudely with scissors.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207141270.jpg

Take a see-through sticker (you can probably get this at a bookstore to protect book covers) and carefully stick the printout face down.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207141555.jpg

Cut a large enough piece of the sticker so you can cover the back as well. Don't mind about the sides or top, just make sure the sticker is smooth on the face of the printout and on its back. You should end up with something like this:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207141974.jpg

Use a razor to cut off the edges:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207142266.jpg

Cut a cross in the middle of each of the two circles in the fore fuse box stickers:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1207142366.jpg

And you're ready!

I can add other versions of fuse boxes to the pdf file but I'll need details about them.

Ron.G 04-02-2008 05:55 AM

Nice job!
Another great Pelican DIYer.

azasadny 04-02-2008 06:36 AM

Thank you!!

david482 04-02-2008 07:30 AM

Thanks. And since I have a 70E as well it will be perfect.

zithlord 04-02-2008 09:38 AM

Thanks! Posted a link at the Sreg. forum.

BlueSideUp 04-02-2008 01:36 PM

Great! I have been missing two of these for a long time....I can't get the link to work but I'll keep trying.

pope 04-02-2008 11:11 PM

You probably have port 8080 blocked.

I can do nothing about that unfortunately. If someone else can get it on their server, or our host has a spot where we can upload it, that would be helpful.

gamin 04-03-2008 01:16 AM

THANKS! Just about finished with my 70T and these are just what I need.
I still have the originals but they look just like yours. Don't know what I'd
do without this forum. Thanks again.

72 T

Just finished mine a didnt have these.
Thanks!!!!

robmog 04-03-2008 05:33 PM

nice work.
but FYI, slight difference on my 72.
MARK, heads up!
3 and 6 are exchanged for each other on the big box- go figure!
POPE, would it be an easy swap?
plan on using the rear fuse label tho.
thanks for the time and effort.
another example of why this site is great

pope 04-04-2008 12:01 AM

I uploaded a version that includes the 1972 modification you asked for Bob.

Its size should be fine although it's probably only a near-perfect replication of the original (as opposed to the perfect one for 1970).

Did 70 and 71 have the same fuse boxes?
Did 72 and 73?
Anyone know?

rw7810 10-20-2009 12:07 PM

Pope - the link seems to be gone. Can you repost or email to me ??

Sorry dear friends, server maintenance killed the link.

It's up again and should be working fine.

zippy_gg 02-08-2010 12:49 PM

Remove the port number and the link works! :D

pope 02-08-2010 03:52 PM

Way to go Zippy! :D

I put these on the server when its status was much more stable. I should look for another server to put them on now...

Great tip, unfortunately the PDF link seems to be broken.

pope 02-09-2010 01:02 AM

I'm trying to edit the link in my post above to fix it but I can't :/

Zippy posted the fixed link above:

NEW LINK: FuseBoxLabels02.pdf

chateau 02-09-2010 01:05 AM

Thanx for that, it works.

mrg_flying 08-22-2010 02:34 PM

Any chance you'll do one for the 1973?

E Sully 08-22-2010 04:07 PM

Please do one for a 1973.

pope 08-22-2010 10:53 PM

Get me a pic of the original and I'll get it done within the next couple of weeks. :)

tgittens 07-26-2012 02:54 PM

I know this is an old thread but wondering if the link could be reanimated? Or does someone have a copy for a 1970E or S?

thanks

pope 07-27-2012 12:11 AM

tgittens, I upgraded my O/S a few months ago but forgot to install the web server :)

I'll try to get it going tonight but can't promise since I'm leaving for holiday for a couple of weeks.

I could probably email you the files. PM me if you like.

bike2ride95 07-30-2012 04:40 PM

 You are the man!!!! Finally! I knew someone smart enough would do
something like this, I thought about it  but apparently NOT :D enough
noggins to do figure it out. :) ;)

Allen_70S 08-01-2012 12:43 PM

Gentlemen:

I too am anxious to acquire the fresh labels. Using Mazilla Forefox I repeatedly get a time-out error when accessing the links that are mentioned. If you can tell me how to overcome this, let me know here, or at deerhal@cox.net. Forward the PDF file? Thanks.- - -Al

This is the corresponding information from my 70S that I posted in an earlier thread.

I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks.

I'll set up the web server when I'm back and let all of you know.

pope 08-07-2012 12:23 AM

JQ911 08-26-2012 07:50 AM

Hi, Would this be the same fuse relay diagram for an 86 Carrera? I need this label as well.

I went home past midnight and drove around 60 miles. I seem to have lost my low beam and drove an hour using bright beam. You can just imagine how irritating it was for those in front of me last night. Luckily it was 1:30am and a few cars were on I-294. I want to know where the low beam fuse is so I can check it out. Would appreciate if somebody has a scanned version of the fuse relay diagram for an 86.

Thanks

LM3929 08-26-2012 08:30 AM

JQ911, sorry that label is for the early cars, yours is glued to the outside of the fuse cover but I think that it is still available from Pelican

Just to update the link to my server.
Hope it's working. Whoever needs the file and can't get it, PM me.

Don't know why I cannot edit my original post..

E Sully 07-13-2014 11:05 AM

There is a time limit on threads after which editing is disabled.
Here are some pictures of 1973 Rear Panel directory if you can use them.

Thanks Ed.

What is the size of the first one?

The second one is already in the pdf file.

E Sully 07-14-2014 05:35 AM

Unfortunately I don't know. The picture of the paper one is from another member. It did fit inside the rear 3 fuse cover, which I do not have one of to measure.

Dougieboy1 11-23-2016 09:53 AM

resurrecting this from the dead - I am after the labels for a 72S. Did anyone keep copies of the files as the link seems dead now. I have half of my original for the big box, nothing for the middle box and 75% of the 3 fuse label.

Would like to print them all out nicely.....

Thanks
